A 33 year old Harrisburg man is wanted by Lebanon City Police over charges stemming from a July 18 incident outside Kalembo’s Social Smoke in Lebanon.
In a news release on Friday, police publicly identified the suspect as Misael Guilbe-Leon and announced they have issued a warrant for his arrest.
Guilbe-Leon has been charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault and one count each of Recklessly Endangering Another Person and Possessing Instruments of Crime.
The July 18 incident became a department matter after Lebanon police were summoned to WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital at about 4 a.m. to investigate a 23 year old Lebanon man being treated for a hatchet-caused laceration on the right side of his back.
Police said an investigation revealed that the victim and another male had attempted to remove a bottle of alcohol from Kalembo’s Social Smoke (916 Cumberland Street) before a third man confronted the duo, who was said to have been the owner of the bottle, and a fight ensued.
According to the police release, at the time of the fight, the victim was holding a tire iron and the Harrisburg man was holding a hatchet, during which the victim was struck one time on the right side of his back causing a “substantial injury.”
Police said the 23 year old Lebanon man continues to recovery from the injury.
