The Lebanon City Police Department announced charges against two Lebanon men for their involvement in a shooting Saturday night in the area of 300 N. Gannon Street.

In a release, Lebanon police said that they initially became involved when responding to a vehicle accident on the 100 block of S. Eighth Street at approximately 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17. According to the release, police interviewed the driver, an as of yet unidentified 28 year old Lebanon man, who said the accident occurred as he was fleeing from an individual who shot at him in the area of 300 N. Gannon Street.

The 28 year old man informed police that he was at the railroad crossing on Eighth Street waiting for a passing train to clear the tracks when the shooting began. Police said they later found discharged ammunition cartridges and other evidence of a shooting at the scene.

Police said that while the victim was waiting, another vehicle pulled into a nearby parking lot and a passenger exited the vehicle and began shooting at the 28 year old man’s vehicle. Police said that the 28 year old man attempted to flee in his vehicle when the accident occurred and the assailants absconded.

Police said the men—identified as driver Luis Rosa-Hernandez, a 21 year old Lebanon man, and passenger Ricardo Timm-Ubarri, a 19 year old Lebanon man—were known to the victim and that the victim had not been randomly targeted.

According to the release, Timm-Ubarri was located at his residence on the 500 block of Cumberland Street, where police said they found and seized a handgun, cocaine, marijuana, a digital scale, and nearly $4,000 in cash. Rosa-Hernandez was apprehended a short time later in the 00 block of N. Seventh Street.

Police said that no injuries were reported in relation to the incident.

According to the release, Timm-Ubarri faces several assault and drug related felonies. He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Kim Wolfe and remains at Lebanon County Correctional facility in lieu of $100,000 bail. Rosa-Hernandez was also charged with several assault related felonies and is at LCCF in lieu of $75,000 bail.
