Bethel Township
Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 30, 2020 at 5:45 a.m., this crash occurred as both Unit 1, an unknown make and model, driven by Operator 1, and Unit 2, a 2004 Ford Econoline E350, driven by Operator 2, a 50 year old Reading woman, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 48 year old Reading woman, Passenger 2, a 53 year old Reading woman, Passenger 3, a 48 year old Reading woman, and Passenger 4, a 40 year old Reading man, were traveling westbound on I 78 near mile marker 8.2. Unit 1 was traveling directly behind Unit 2 in the left lane. Unit 1, for an unknown reason, struck the rear end of Unit 2, causing damage to the left side of the rear bumper. After impact, Unit 1 crossed into the right-hand lane and fled the scene, heading in a west direction without stopping to provide information. Unit 2 also continued in a west direction where Operator 2 drove to her place of employment prior to stopping. It is unknown whether Operator 1 sustained injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 2, Passenger 1, Passenger 2, Passenger 3, and Passenger 4 were not injured as a result of this crash. No witnesses were identified while on scene.
Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 29, 2020 at 9:30 p.m., this crash occurred on the 2,300 block of Mount Zion Rd. in Bethel Twp. Unit 1, an unknown make and model, driven by Operator 1, was traveling southbound on Mount Zion Rd. Unit 1 exited the travel lanes, striking a mailbox on the shoulder of the roadway. Unit 1 failed to stop after striking the mailbox. It is unknown if Unit 1 sustained any damage as a result of this crash. It is unknown if Operator 1 suffered any injuries as a result of this crash.
Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 29, 2020 at 8:38 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2013 Kenworth T680, driven by Operator 1, was traveling northbound on Blue Mountain Rd., just north of its intersection with SR 22 in Bethel Twp. Unit 1 attempted to back into a parking lot on the west side of the roadway. Unit 1 subsequently struck a utility pole on the east side of the roadway. Met-Ed was notified of the utility pole damage. Unit 1 sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene by Operator 1. Operator 1 did not suffer any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Limitations on Backing. PSP was assisted on scene by Lebanon County fire companies, Met-Ed utility company, and troopers from PSP Jonestown.
Harassment – On Oct. 25, 2020 at 12:34 p.m., PSP responded to the 00 block of Deitlzer Ln. in Bethel Twp. for an active domestic. Upon making contact with a married couple at the location, it was determined that both the 36 year old Jonestown woman and the 37 year old Glen Lyon man had both pushed and struck each other. No marks or injuries were reported or observed. Both individuals were separated. Harassment charges will be filed on both individuals. PSP is investigating.
Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 2, 2020 at 9:39 a.m., this crash occurred on Stracks Dam Rd. on the 900 block of Stracks Dam Rd. in Bethel Twp. Unit 1, a Toyota RAV4, was traveling west on Stracks Dam Rd. when it struck a utility pole that had broken off and was hanging into the roadway. Unit 1 sustained moderate damage but was driven from the scene. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash.
City of Lebanon
Disorderly Conduct – A 22 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Disorderly Conduct on Oct. 18, 2020 at 2:27 a.m. on the 900 block of Elizabeth St.
Disorderly Conduct – A 19 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Disorderly Conduct (loud music) and Disorderly House on Oct. 29, 2020 at 6:13 p.m. on the 800 block of Locust St.
Drug Possession – Charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia have been filed against Laurence Lopez-Mejia, a 29 year old Lebanon resident, after contact with police on Oct. 18, 2020 at 5:22 p.m. on the 900 block of Lehman St. Lopez was apprehended on a Lebanon County Bench Warrant and transported to LCCB. Custody was given to LCCB staff.
False Identification To Law Enforcement Officer – Charges of False Identification to Law Enforcement Officer, Windshield Obstructions Sun Screening and Other Materials Prohibited, and Registration and Certificate of Title Required have been filed against Carlos Rodriguez-Torres, a 27 year old Lebanon resident, after a traffic stop on Oct. 24, 2020 at 5:54 p.m. on the 400 block of Lehman St.
Tampering With Or Fabricating Physical Evidence, Resisting Arrest – Charges of Tampering With or Fabricating Physical Evidence, Resisting Arrestee, and Disorderly Conduct have been filed against Amir Clark-Scott, a 25 year old North Cornwall resident, after contact with police on Oct. 23, 2020 at 7:44 p.m. on the 200 block of North 8th St. Police allege Clark swallowed a bag of marijuana in an effort to destroy the evidence and attempted to run from the police only to be apprehended and taken into custody.
Drug Possession – A charge of Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana has been filed against a 22 year old Lebanon man after being found asleep in his car on Nov. 2, 2020 at 11:34 p.m. on the 300 block of South 1st Ave.
Drug Possession – On Nov. 2, 2020 at 6:54 p.m., PSP conducted a traffic stop on a silver 2004 Toyota Avalon on North 4th Ave. and East Lehman St. after discovering that the driver of the vehicle, a 53 year old Minersville man, had an active NCIC warrant for a parole violation. The NCIC was confirmed by the ORI and the individual was taken into custody. Upon a consent search of the vehicle, a clear and orange prescription bottle with the label torn off, containing 30 oxycodone hydrochloride 10 mg pills, were discovered and seized as evidence. The individual was transported to Lebanon County Central Booking based on the warrant. State Parole and Probation was notified. Appropriate charges were filed. The vehicle involved was a 2004 Toyota Avalon. PSP is investigating.
DUI – On Oct. 17, 2020 at 12:42 a.m., at North 7th St. and Water St., a traffic stop conducted by members of PSP Jonestown found the vehicle operator to be under the influence of alcohol. The vehicle operator refused a chemical test of blood and was transported to Lebanon County Central Booking as a result of unrelated arrest warrants. DUI charges for this incident have been filed in Magisterial District Court 52-2-01. The Arrestee was Ruben Santos, a 57 year old Lebanon man. The vehicles involved were a 2003 Dodge Chrysler.
East Hanover Township
Drug Possession – On Sept. 29, 2020 at 12:47 p.m., this crime occurred on I 81 South. In the commission of this crime, the Arrestee was involved in a crash in which his vehicle struck the vehicle of the Victim as well as a guide rail. After striking the Victim’s vehicle and the guide rail, the Arrestee proceeded to flee the scene south on I 81 South. The Arrestee was located shortly after this crash by members of PSP Harrisburg off the I 81 South exit 80 off ramp in the parking lot of the Exxon gas station. The Arrestee was found to be in possession of marijuana and additional drug paraphernalia. The Arrestee was Miguel Velasco, a 19 year old Salisbury, NC man. The Victim was a 52 year old Conowingo, MD woman. The vehicles involved were a 2008 Ford Mustang and a 2013 Ford Transit Connect.
Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 3, 2020 at approximately 5:50 a.m., PSP Jonestown responded to a reported crash on I 81 North near mile marker 82.2. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2018 Toyota Camry, driven by Operator 1, a 64 year old Harrisburg man, was traveling in the right lane of I 81 North, when a deer came across the roadway from the west. Unit 1 subsequently struck the deer, sustaining disabling damage. Operator 1 refused transport and reported no injuries as a result of this crash.
Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 4, 2020 at 6:28 p.m., this single-vehicle crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage, driven by Operator 1, a 29 year old Harrisburg man, was traveling eastbound on SR 22 in East Hanover Twp. just west of Mill Rd. Unit 1 struck a deer after it entered the roadway from the lefthand side. Operator 1 sustained a suspected minor right thumb injury as a result of this crash and Unit 1 was towed away from the scene by Motter’s Towing Company.
Heidelberg Township
Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 1, 2020 at 4:47 p.m., this one-vehicle crash occurred on W. Reistville Rd., west of its intersection with SR 501 in Heidelberg Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2008 Honda Civic, driven by Operator 1, a 17 year old Robesonia male, was traveling westbound on W. Reistville Rd., west of its intersection with SR 501. As Unit 1 was negotiating a left hand curve, Operator 1 lost control of Unit 1. Unit 1 crossed the roadway and struck a barn off the shoulder of the roadway. Unit 1 sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene. The barn sustained minimal damage. Operator 1 was not injured as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.
Drug Possession – On Oct. 31, 2020 at 4:15 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to Heidelberg Ave. for a report of found drugs. Through investigation, the Suspect admitted the drugs and related paraphernalia belonged to her. Charges are to be filed.
Jackson Township
Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 2, 2020 at 8:08 p.m., this single-vehicle crash occurred on Golf Rd., south of its intersection with Orchard Ln. in Jackson Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by Operator 1, an 18 year old Myerstown man, was traveling southbound on Golf Rd., south of its intersection with Orchard Ln. Unit 1 then left the roadway and struck a telephone pole off the right shoulder of Golf Rd. Unit 1 sustained heavy damage as a result of this crash and was towed from the scene. Operator 1 did not sustain injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic. PSP Jonestown was assisted on scene by Myerstown Fire and Fire Police.
Harassment – On Nov. 2, 2020 at 8:27 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to Mayfly Ct. for a report of an inactive domestic. Upon arriving on scene, it was discovered both parties were physical with each other after an argument. The Victims/Arrestees were a 47 year old Myerstown man and a 36 year old Myerstown woman. Troopers are investigating.
Millcreek Township
Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 1, 2020 at 4:55 p.m., this single-vehicle crash occurred on Cocalico Rd., north of its intersection with Forest Rd. in Millcreek Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2002 Ford Taurus (X), driven by Operator 1, a 19 year old Leola man, was traveling south on Cocalico Rd. As Unit 1 was traversing a lefthand curve, Operator 1 lost control of Unit 1 and it left the roadway. Unit 1 then struck a tree off the shoulder of the roadway. Unit 1 was disabled as a result of the crash and was towed from the scene. Operator 1 was not injured as a result of the crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.
Myerstown Borough
Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 29, 2020 at 11:24 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, was traveling south on South Railroad St., just south of East Center Ave. in Myerstown Boro. Unit 2, a 2012 Kia Sorento, driven by Operator 2, was legally parked along the east side walk, facing north. Unit 1 failed to negotiate the slight right curve and collided with the front driver’s side of Unit 2. Unit 1 fled the scene post-crash. Unit 1 is missing a driver’s side mirror due to colliding with Unit 2.
North Londonderry Township
Retail Theft – Kurt Webber, a 51 year old Palmyra resident, was charged with Retail Theft (Under Ring), Retail Theft, and Theft by Deception for an incident that occurred on Oct. 25, 2020 at Walmart, located at 100 North Londonderry Sq. Andrea Pullen-Honeycutt, a 43 year old Palmyra resident, was cited for Retail Theft for incidents that occurred on Oct. 24, 2020 and Oct. 25, 2020.
Swatara Township
Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 31, 2020 at 11:44 p.m., this crash occurred on SR 72 North, just south of Center St. in Swatara Twp. This crash occurred as Operator 1 was traveling north on SR 72 North in Unit 1, a 2017 Honda Civic, when she observed a deer on the roadway. Operator 1 applied the brakes to Unit 1 and swerved; however, Operator 1 was unable to avoid striking the deer. Unit 1 also sideswiped the guide rail on the shoulder of SR 72 North as Operator 1 attempted to avoid striking the deer. Unit 1 sustained mild damage to its front passenger’s side bumper and fender at the 1 o’clock position as well as mild damage to its rear passenger’s side fender at the 5 o’clock position as a result of this crash and was able to be driven from the scene in its normal customary manner. Operator 1 sustained no injuries as a result of this crash. No damage was observed to the guide rail on the shoulder of SR 72 North.
Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 4, 2020 at 2:23 a.m., this collision occurred as Unit 1, a 2015 Honda CRV, driven by Operator 1, a 40 year old Lebanon woman, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 13 year old Lebanon female, and Passenger 2, a 21 year old Lebanon man, was traveling south on SR 72 when a deer ran out in front of Unit 1. Unit 1’s front struck the deer. Unit 1 came to rest blocking the southbound lane of travel. Operator 1 and Passenger 2 sustained no injuries as a result of this crash. Passenger 1 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash. PSP Jonestown was assisted on the scene by Bunkerhill Fire Department.
Union Township
Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 30, 2020 at 9:33 p.m., this crash occurred on SR 72 South, just north of Jersey Joe’s in Union Twp. Unit 1, a 2009 Honda CRV, driven by Operator 1, was traveling southbound on SR 72 when a deer entered the roadway. Unit 1 struck the deer in the roadway. Unit 1 continued south on SR 72. Operator 1 pulled Unit 1 into Jersey Joe’s parking lot. Unit 1 sustained minor front-end damage. Operator 1 chose to have Unit 1 towed to have the damage inspected. Operator 1 sustained no injuries as a result of this crash. Unit 1 was towed by Glenn’s Towing.
Harassment – On Oct. 30, 2020 at 9:26 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to Jonestown Rd. for a report of an active domestic. Through investigation, it was determined the Suspect hit the Victim on her face and pushed her to the ground. The Suspect then stabbed him in the neck area. The Suspect was then transported to the Hershey Medical Center. The Arrestee was a 39 year old Jonestown man. The Victim was a 40 year old Jonestown woman.
Theft – Between Oct. 30, 2020 at 6:00 a.m. and Oct. 31, 2020 at 10:55 a.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to Jonestown Rd. for a reported theft. A tile cutter was stolen from the residence. The Victim was a 79 year old Jonestown man. PSP is investigating.
