Here are the most recent food safety violations in Lebanon County, as documented by Pennsylvania’s Department of Agriculture.

Inspections are taken as a “snapshot” of the day and time, and should not necessarily be taken as overall indicators of an establishment’s cleanliness. Violations are often corrected prior to the inspector leaving the site. Restaurants were found to be in compliance unless otherwise noted.

3 – 501.17 Ready-to-Eat, Time/Temperature Control for Safety Food, Date Marking
French toast sandwich for sale and hot dogs in the refrigerator below the hot dog roller were beyond the discard-by date of Dec 1. Both items were discarded and the hot dog container was washed and sanitized.

4 – 602.13 Nonfood-Contact Surfaces
The underneath side of the cappuccino machine, a non-food contact surface, was not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil.

4 – 601.11(A) Equipment, Food Contact Surfaces, Nonfood Contact Surfaces and Utensils
The spout of the ice dispenser on the soda fountain, a food contact surface, was observed to have splattered residue and was not clean to sight and touch. Cleaned immediately.

3 – 305.11 Food Storage, Preventing Contamination from the Premises
Observed packaged snacks stored 2 – 3 inches from the floor in retail area, rather than 6 inches off of the floor as required.

Paper towel dispenser and soap dispenser for handwashing improperly installed next to the 2-compartment sink rather than next to the handwashing sink.

7 – 102.11 Common Name-Working Containers
One working containers in the kitchen area, used for storing sanitizer taken from bulk supplies, was not marked with the common name of the chemical.
