While the first winter storm of the season might not have precipitated the foot or more of snow meteorologists predicted, Lebanon Countians did wake up to a hefty half-foot plus coating of white powder this morning.
“No doubt our snow totals were not as projected across the region, and this is in part because the mid levels warmed above 700 feet changing snow over to a several hour period of sleet,” noted Lebanon County Weather in its update this morning.
“A dry slot also worked into the region hampering the impressive snow totals projected by not only us, but many as a whole.”
Although public and private crews were on the roads all night plowing, schools across the county are closed today, as are municipal offices. Traffic conditions as reported in local Facebook groups and ABC27’s road issues map seem fair, with no major issues visible at present.
