Scattering Rubbish – A 25 year old Lebanon man and a 24 year old Lebanon man have been charged with Scattering Rubbish for incidents between Nov. 20 and Nov. 30, along Culvert St., east of the rail trail.
East Hanover Township
Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 14, 2020 at approximately 11:15 a.m., the PSP Jonestown barracks investigated a two-vehicle hit and run crash at the intersection of SR 22 and Lincoln School Rd. in East Hanover Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 2, a 2001 Ford Escape, driven by Operator 2, a 34 year old Harrisburg man, was traveling west in the right lane of SR 22. Unit 1, a Ford 300 Series, driven by Operator 1, was traveling east and turning left, from the turning lane onto Lincoln School Rd. Unit 1 turned into Unit 2, striking the rear-end of the vehicle. Unit 2 was pushed to the northwestern side of the roadway, where it rolled onto its passenger’s side, coming to final rest. Unit 1 fled the scene. Unit 1 was described as a grey Ford SUV and fled the scene north on Lincoln School Rd. The vehicle will likely have front end damage. It is unknown whether Operator 1 was injured as a result of this crash. Operator 2 reported no injuries as a result of this crash. PSP was assisted on scene by Ono Fire Department, Jonestown Fire Department, Life Lion EMS, and Joe May’s Towing. Operator 1 was cited for Vehicle Turning Left.
Jackson Township
Theft – Sometime between Jan. 1, 2020 at 12:01 a.m. and Dec. 14, 2020, this incident occurred on Arbor Dr. PSP Jonestown is investigating an incident involving possible theft by power of attorney. The Victim was a 91 year old Myerstown man. The investigation continues.
Millcreek Township
Dissemination Intimate Image – Sometime between Nov. 1, 2020 at 12:01 a.m. and Nov. 30, 2020 at 11:59 p.m., this incident occurred on South Sheridan Rd. PSP Jonestown is investigating an incident involving sexually explicit images sent electronically to a juvenile. The Victim was an 11 year old female. The investigation is ongoing.
Theft – On Dec. 14, 2020 at approximately 3:11 p.m., the Victim entered the PSP Jonestown barracks to report a theft of his check. The Victim related he was contacted by his mortgage company on Dec. 12, 2020, relating his mortgage payment was never received. The Victim related he had placed a $869.31 Lebanon Federal Credit Union check in his mailbox located outside his residence on the 300 block of West Main St. in Millcreek Twp. on Nov. 1, 2020 to Freedom Mortgage, which had been cashed. The Victim related he was contacted by his mortgage company who informed him his payment was never received. The Victim related he then reviewed a picture of his cashed check on Dec. 12, 2020 when he observed the check was altered and no longer made out to Freedom Mortgage. The Victim was a 45 year old Newmanstown man. PSP is investigating.
North Londonderry Township
Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 15, 2020 at 7:57 p.m., police responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of East Main St. and Apple Blossom Ln. Unit 2, driven by Operator 2, a 52 year old Lebanon resident, was rear-ended by Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 35 year old Palmyra resident, while at the traffic light. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Unit 1 required towing. Operator 1 is to be cited for Driving Too Fast for Conditions.
Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 16, 2020 at 1:40 p.m., Operator 1, a Lebanon man, was turning from West Main St. (SR 422) into the Wal-Mart entrance when his vehicle slid on the snow-covered roadway. Unit 1 left the travel lane and struck Unit 2, driven by Operator 2, a Lebanon woman, while she was stopped for the traffic light exiting Wal-Mart. There were no reported injuries.
Swatara Township
Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 16, 2020 at 7:19 a.m., this crash occurred on SR 72 near its intersection with Old Jonestown Rd. in Swatara Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2006 Saturn Ion, driven by Operator 1, a 49 year old Jonestown man, was traveling south on SR 72, as Unit 2, a 2006 Audi A4, driven by Operator 2, a 22 year old Lebanon woman, was approaching north. Unit 1 crossed over the solid double yellow line, subsequently striking Unit 2. Both Operator 1 and Operator 2 reported no injuries as a result of this crash. Unit 1 and Unit 2 were towed from the scene by Joe May’s Towing. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.
West Cornwall Township
Vehicle Accident – On Friday, Dec. 11, 2020 at 4:01 p.m., this crash occurred at the intersection of Butler Rd. and Old Mine Rd. Operator 1, a 55 year old Lebanon resident, was turning from Old Mine Rd. onto Butler Rd. when Unit 1, his motorcycle, slid out, causing him to lose control. Operator 1 was transported to the Hershey Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Unit 1 was towed.
Deer Struck – On Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020 at 10:44 p.m., this crash occurred on SR 322 between SR 419 and the PennDOT Salt Shed. Operator 1, a 36 year old Lititz man, was traveling east when he struck a deer. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Unit 1 required towing. The deer was deceased.
