Bethel Township
Vehicle Accident – On Jan. 26, 2021 at approximately 10:02 a.m., PSP Jonestown investigated a single-vehicle crash involving a “bobtail” commercial motor vehicle. This crash occurred on I 78 East at mile marker 5.9 in Bethel Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2012 Freightliner Truck Tractor, driven by Operator 1, was traveling in the right lane and left the right side of the roadway. Unit 1 struck a road sign with the front end of the vehicle and came to a position of final rest facing south. No injuries were reported or observed as a result of this crash. 78 Towing was contacted by Operator 1 to pull Unit 1 onto the roadway. Unit 1 left the scene under its own power by its respective Operator. Form SP 7-0501TX was issued to Operator 1 on scene and mailed to PennDOT. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.
Cornwall Borough
Criminal Trespass – A 55 year old Lebanon man and three 15 year old boys have been charged with Criminal Trespass for an incident on Monday, Jan. 25, 2021 at 4:10 p.m. at the Freeman Estate Carriage House along Freeman Dr.
Myerstown Borough
Vehicle Accident – On Jan. 8, 2021 at 1:22 a.m., this crash occurred on SR 501, just north of West Main Ave. in Myerstown Boro. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2013 Volvo 780 Series, driven by Operator 1, Abdool Rafick, a 30 year old Hollis, NY man, and Unit 2, a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Operator 2, a 59 year old Hegins man, were both traveling south on SR 501, just north of West Main Ave. Unit 1 was following directly behind Unit 2 and attempted to overtake Unit 2 on the left and over the double yellow line. Upon returning to the southbound travel lane of SR 501, the trailing portion of Unit 1 struck the front driver’s side portion of Unit 2. After striking Unit 2, Unit 1 continued to travel south on SR 501. Operator 2 proceeded to follow Unit 1 to the GAF Plant in Jackson Twp., before contacting law enforcement. Unit 1 and the trailing portion of Unit 1 sustained no observable damage as a result of this crash. Operator 1 sustained no injuries as a result of this crash. Unit 2 sustained mild damage to its front driver’s side door, fender, and mirror at the 10 o’clock position as a result of this crash. Unit 2 was able to be driven from the scene in its normal customary manner. Operator 2 sustained no injuries as a result of this crash. Unit 1 was determined to not be registered or insured and was towed from the scene by R.J. Sells Towing. Operator 1 was found to be under the influence of controlled substances and was subsequently placed under arrest for DUI and Hit and Run.
Drug Possession – On Jan. 26, 2021 at approximately 12:13 p.m., PSP Jonestown conducted a traffic stop on a white BMW X3 on West Maple Ave., near the intersection of South College St. in Myerstown Boro. for expired registration. A consent search was conducted and marijuana was seized. The vehicles involved included a 2004 BMW.
North Lebanon Township
Drug Possession – Ryan Shenk, a 29 year old Jonestown resident, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after an incident that occurred on Jan. 20, 2021 in the 1,600 block of North 7th St.
Drug Possession –Alexandra Sanchez, a 19 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Possession of Marijuana after an incident that occurred in the 800 block of Oak Ln. on Nov. 26, 2020.
Drug Possession – Andrew Hall, a 29 year old Lebanon resident, and David Smith, a 34 year old Lebanon resident, were charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after an incident that occurred on Feb. 26, 2020 in the 1,300 block of East Lehman St.
North Londonderry Township
Vehicle Accident – On Jan. 17, 2021 at 11:39 p.m., this incident occurred on the 1,500 block of Cambridge Rd. North Londonderry Twp. police have cited Operator 1, Dallas Wilson, a 26 year old Palmyra resident, with several traffic violations following a single-vehicle accident in which he failed to remain on scene and provide his personal and vehicle information as required by law. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic, Expired Inspection, and Accidents Involving Damage to Unattended Vehicle or Property.
Richland Borough
Harassment – On Jan. 24, 2021 at 4:57 p.m., troopers of PSP Jonestown station responded to Church St. for a report of a harassment. Upon arrival on scene, it was determined that the Victim received numerous threatening Instagram messages from an unknown person. The Victim was a 19 year old Richland man. This investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information is asked to contact PSP Jonestown station at 717-865-2194.
South Londonderry Township
Vehicle Accident – On Jan. 20, 2021 at 7:32 a.m., the South Londonderry Twp. police department and Campbelltown volunteer fire company responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Horseshoe Pike (SR 322) and South Thistletown Dr. Unit 1, a silver Hyundai Veloster, driven by Operator 1, a 19 year old Marysville woman, struck the rear of Unit 2, a white Chevy Box Truck, driven by Operator 2, a 26 year old Shermansdale man. One vehicle was towed from the scene. No one was injured as a result of the crash. Operator 1 was cited for Following Too Closely.
Criminal Mischief, Harassment – Charges of Criminal Mischief and Harassment were recently filed against Laurie Dohner, a 43 year old Palmyra resident, after an incident on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Dohner exited her vehicle in the area of the Jonestown Bank drive-through, located at 101 Northside Commons, and yelled and used profanity at another person in line at the bank. Dohner pounded on the person’s vehicle window and attempted to open the car door. Dohner then kicked the vehicle, causing damage. Dohner then left the scene.
Union Township
Theft – On Jan. 24, 2021 sometime between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., this crime occurred in the parking area of Sand Siding Trail in Union Twp. This crime occurred as unknown Actor(s) smashed the windows of two vehicles parked in the area. The unknown Actor(s) stole change, gloves, and a hat from the vehicles. The unknown Actor(s) then fled in an unknown direction by unknown means. The Victim was a 60 year old Lititz man. The vandalized vehicles included a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2012 Toyocar Van Container Trailer.
