Bethel Township

Vehicle Accident – On April 6, 2021 at 2:06 p.m., this two-vehicle crash occurred on Mount Zion Rd. at the intersection with Frystown Rd. in Bethel Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2007 Ford Edge, driven by Operator 1, a 24 year old Bethel Twp. woman, was stopped at the stop sign, facing south on Mount Zion Rd. Unit 2, a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by Operator 2, a 72 year old Bethel Twp. woman, was stopped at the stop sign, facing west on Frystown Rd. Unit 1 turned left from the stop sign and struck Unit 2 head-on. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

Vehicle Accident – On April 10, 2021 at 9:57 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2014 Kia Soul, driven by Operator 1, a 35 year old Concord, NH man, was traveling west on I 78 at mile marker 5.3. Unit 1 swerved to the left and struck a guide rail. Unit 1 was disabled from the crash. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

City of Lebanon

Disorderly Conduct – A 20 year old North Cornwall resident and an 18 year old North Cornwall resident have been cited for Disorderly Conduct (loud music from auto) on April 7, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. on the 00 block of North 16th St.

Disorderly Conduct – A 63 year old Dover man has been cited for Disorderly Conduct on April 4, 2021 at 12:23 a.m. on the 00 block of North 9th St.

DUI – On April 9, 2021 at 12:23 a.m., this crime occurred on East Lehman St. In the commission of this crime, the Arrestee was operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The Arrestee was a 46 year old Lebanon woman. The vehicles involved included a 1996 Ford Explorer.

Jackson Township

Vehicle Accident – On April 9, 2021 at approximately 2:30 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers investigated a two-vehicle hit-and-run crash that occurred at the intersection of SR 422 and Locust St. in Jackson Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 2, a 2016 Ford Edge, driven by Operator 2, a 57 year old Lebanon woman, was stopped at a steady red signal. Unit 1, a Jeep Cherokee, driven by Operator 1, a male, struck Unit 2 in the rear end of the vehicle. Unit 1 then fled the scene, traveling south on Locust St. and then east on West Washington St. Unit 1 is described as a black Jeep Cherokee with black rims. The vehicle was being operated by a male with ear-length brown hair. Anyone with information relating to this crash is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194. Operator 1 was cited for Following Too Closely.

Myerstown Borough

Vehicle Accident – On April 9, 2021 at 5:19 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers investigated a two-vehicle crash that occurred on SR 422, just east of its intersection with North Locust St. in Myerstown Boro. This crash occurred as Unit 2, a 2011 Buick Enclave, driven by Operator 2, was stopped in traffic at a steady red signal and was rear-ended by Unit 1, a 2007 Kia Sportage, driven by Operator 1. Both vehicles were moved off of the roadway under their own power by their respective Operators. No injuries were reported or observed as a result of this crash.

Upon arrival to the scene at 5:49 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers interviewed Operator 2. Operator 2 related to troopers that she was rear-ended by Unit 1 while waiting at a steady red light. Operator 2 related that, when she interacted with Operator 1 after the crash, he offered her cash instead of calling the police because he didn’t have insurance on the vehicle. Operator 2 related that she contacted 911. Operator 2 related that she was utilizing her safety belt during the crash.

PSP Jonestown troopers then interviewed Operator 1 on scene. Operator 1 related that it was his friend’s vehicle and that, when he tried to stop suddenly, he was unaware of how the vehicle would react, and struck the rear end of Unit 2. Operator 1 related that the vehicle had no insurance and that he was aware of it. Operator 1 and Passenger 1 related that they were not injured and were utilizing their safety belts during the crash.

Form SP 7-0501TX was issued to both parties on scene. Operator 1 was cited for Following Too Closely and Driving Without Insurance.

Vehicle Accident – On April 9, 2021 at 2:41 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers investigated a two-vehicle crash that occurred at the intersection of SR 422 and SR 501 in Myerstown Boro. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2099 Craftsman Lawn Tractor, driven by Operator 1, was traveling south on SR 501, crossing the intersection with SR 422. Unit 2, a 2014 Buick Verano, a passenger vehicle, driven by Operator 2, traveling east on SR 422 through the intersection. Unit 2 proceeded through the intersection and struck Unit 1. Both vehicles were removed from the roadway by their respective Operators. No injuries were reported or observed.

Upon arrival to the scene at approximately 2:43 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers met with Witness 1. Witness 1 related to troopers that she was in the left lane of SR 422 at a steady red signal. Witness 1 related that Unit 2 was ahead of her in the right lane. Witness 1 related that the light turned green and Unit 2 proceeded forward and struck the lawn tractor, which was still negotiating the intersection after his light had turned red. Witness 1 related that Unit 1 was just too slow to cross the intersection.

PSP Jonestown troopers then interviewed Operator 1 on scene. Operator 1 was difficult to understand but related that he was traveling south on SR 501 on his lawn tractor and was struck by Unit 2. Operator 1 related that he was not injured as a result of this crash.

PSP Jonestown troopers then interviewed Operator 2 on scene. Operator 2 related that she was traveling east on SR 422 and was waiting in the right lane at a steady red signal. Operator 2 related that, when the light turned, she proceeded forward, not seeing the lawn tractor crossing the intersection in front of her. Operator 2 related that she was not injured as a result of this crash.

North Londonderry Township

Vehicle Accident – On April 6, 2021 at 6:24 p.m., the North Londonderry Twp. police department responded to the 1,100 block of West Main St. in Annville for a motor vehicle accident. Officers arrived on scene and, through an investigation, found that a juvenile male was struck by an SUV traveling east on Rt. 422. Though the investigation is ongoing, there is no indication that the driver’s actions contributed to the cause of the crash. The juvenile male was 11 years old.

South Lebanon Township

Drug Possession – On March 8, 2021 at 8:00 a.m., this incident occurred on East Walnut St. This incident occurred as inmates at Lebanon County Correctional Facility were found to be in possession of drugs.

Union Township

Disorderly Conduct – On April 7, 2021 at 12:01 a.m., this crime occurred on the 00 block of Bordnersville Rd. In the commission of this crime, PSP Jonestown troopers responded to the Wesco Aircraft for an alarm activation. Troopers determined it to be a false alarm. This was the fifth false alarm activation in a twelve-month period. A non-traffic citation was filed. The Offender was Wesco Aircraft in Jonestown.

Theft Of Vehicle Parts – On April 6, 2021 at sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to Moonshine Rd. and Chapel Dr. for a reported theft of a Catalytic Converter, which was removed from its exhaust system while it was parked in the Appalachian Trail parking lot. The Victim was a 58 year old Muir woman. The vehicles involved included a 2014 Subaru Forester. Troopers are investigating.

Cruelty To Animals – On April 6, 2021 at 4:12 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers were dispatched to Katie Ln. Through investigation, it was discovered that three dogs were left inside the residence’s basement alone for unknown periods of time. PSP Jonestown troopers are investigating the incident.
