Bethel Township

Death Natural – On April 21, 2021 at 2:54 p.m., State Police responded to SR 22 for a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, State Police discovered that the Victim was deceased. Investigation revealed that the Victim suffered an apparent medical episode, resulting in the crash and the Victim’s death. The Victim was a 68 year old East Greenville man. The vehicles involved, described in narrative, included a 2020 Nissan Rogue. Investigating is ongoing.

Vehicle Accident – On April 21, 2021 at 2:54 p.m., this crash occurred on State Route 22 Eastbound in Bethel Twp. adjacent to the 2,800 block of State Route 22. Unit 1, a 2020 Nissan Rogue, driven by Operator 1, was traveling eastbound, when it left its lane of travel, traveling through a grass shoulder on the south side of the roadway. Unit 1 re-entered the travel lanes, crossing both eastbound lanes, before striking a concrete median that divides the eastbound and westbound lanes. Unit 1 then drifted backward across both eastbound lanes, before coming to final rest on the southbound shoulder of the roadway. Through investigation, it was determined Operator 1 suffered an apparent medical episode, resulting in this crash. Unit 1 sustained minor front-end damage and was towed from the scene by Joe May’s Towing. PSP Jonestown was assisted on scene by Lebanon County fire companies, Life Lion EMS, and Joe May’s Towing. Investigation is ongoing.

Scattering Rubbish – On April 21, 2021 at approximately 10:55 a.m., the Victim contacted PSP Jonestown to report trash bags being found on his property near the address in the 200 block of Morrissey Dr. in Bethel Twp. PSP Jonestown responded and observed six trash bags on the Victim’s property. No items of evidentiary value were discovered in the trash and it was disposed of accordingly. The Victim was an 81 year old Lebanon man. PSP Jonestown is investigating.

Cleona Borough

Harassment – On April 16, 2021 at 4:50 a.m., this incident occurred as both Victims/Arrestees were involved in an argument at Victim/Arrestee 2’s residence, located on the 00 block of East Pine St. During the argument, both Victims/Arrestees pushed each other outside the residence. Victim/Arrestee 1 then went into the residence and smashed Victim/Arrestee 2’s televisions. The Victims/Arrestees were a 22 year old Willow Grove man and a 22 year old Lebanon woman. Charges were filed at District Justice Ditzler against the man for Criminal Mischief and Harassment. Charges were filed at District Justice Ditzler against the woman for Harassment.

East Hanover Township

Harassment – On April 18, 2021 sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m., at Jonestown Rd., the involved parties engaged in a physical altercation. Following the physical altercation, Victim/Arrestee 2 proceeded to damage personal property of Victim/Arrestee 1. Victim/Arrestee 1 has been cited for Harassment. Victim/Arrestee 2 has been cited for Harassment and Criminal Mischief. The Victims/Arrestees were a 19 year old Annville woman and a 20 year old Lebanon woman. The damaged property included a Coffee Table, valued at $15.00, a Lamp, valued at $35.00, a Trash Can, valued at $10.00, a Plant, valued at $5.00, and a Candle, valued at $7.00.

Theft – On April 16, 2021 at approximately 2:45 p.m., the Victim entered the PSP Jonestown station to report two items being removed from a property that he was renting from a landlord on Webster School Rd. sometime around March 3, 2021. The Victim was a 26 year old Jonestown man. PSP is investigating.

Heidelberg Township

Vehicle Accident – On April 13, 2021 at 8:10 a.m., this reportable crash occurred on the 300 block of North Market St. (SR 419) in Heidelberg Twp. Unit 1, a silver 2020 Honda CRV, driven by Operator 1, a 23 year old Robesonia woman, was traveling north on SR 419, when Operator 1 fell asleep. Initial impact occurred as the front left bumper of Unit 1 struck a utility pole on the left shoulder of the roadway. After contact with the utility pole, Unit 1 traversed off of the roadway, onto the left shoulder, down the embankment, where it struck Unit 2, a 2007 Ford Focus, driven by Operator 2, which was legally parked in the driveway of the residence on the 300 block of North Market St. in Myerstown. Unit 1 came to final rest in the driveway of the residence on the 300 block of North Market St. in Myerstown, facing west. Unit 2 stayed in final rest in the driveway of the residence on the 300 block of North Market St. in Myerstown. Unit 1 was disabled from the crash and towed from the scene by CJ Wagner’s Towing. Operator 1 suffered minor injuries as a result of this crash but was not transported. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

Jackson Township

Theft – On April 17, 2021 at 10:37 a.m., State Police responded to Oaken Way for a report of a theft. Through investigation, it was determined that an unknown individual gained access to the Victim’s debit card information and subsequently made a fraudulent transaction. The Victim was a 42 year old Myerstown man. The stolen property included the Victim’s Identity (Debit Card Information).

Vehicle Accident – On April 17, 2021 at 1:12 p.m., this single-vehicle hit-and-run crash occurred on the 400 block of North College St. in Jackson Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a Honda Odyssey, driven by Operator 1, accompanied by Passenger 1 and Passenger 2, was traveling north on North College St. and failed to negotiate a lefthand curve. Unit 1 subsequently struck a utility pole off of the right side of the roadway on North College St. on the property on the 400 block of North College St. Unit 1 then continued across the property on the 400 block of North College St. and struck a speed limit sign. Unit 1 then fled from the scene and was unable to be located. It is unknown whether Operator 1, Passenger 1, and Passenger 2 were injured as a result of this crash. Operator 1, Passenger 1, and Passenger 2 were not transported. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

Vehicle Accident – On April 15, 2021 at 8:42 p.m., this crash occurred on Stracks Dam Rd. in Jackson Twp. This crash involved Operator 1, a 19 year old Myerstown man, accompanied by Passenger 1, an 18 year old Myerstown man, Passenger 2, a 19 year old Myerstown man, and Passenger 3, a 17 year old Schaefferstown male. Operator 1, Passenger 1, Passenger 2, and Passenger 3 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of this crash, and were not injured as a result of this crash, and did not need to be transported.

Millcreek Township

Harassment, Simple Trespass – On April 4, 2021 at approximately 10:56 a.m., troopers from PSP Jonestown were dispatched to the 200 block of South Sheridan Rd. in Millcreek Twp. for a disturbance-related incident. Upon arrival, troopers learned that the Arrestee arrived at the Victim’s residence, yelling and making verbal threats. The Arrestee was asked to leave the Victim’s property several times, to which he would not comply. The Arrestee was subsequently cited with Harassment and Simple Trespass. All charges were filed within MDJ 52-3-01. The Arrestee was a 37 year old Newmanstown man. The Victim was a 34 year old Newmanstown man.

Myerstown Borough

Theft – On March 23, 2021 at approximately 10:20 a.m., troopers from PSP Jonestown were dispatched to the 00 block of East Maple Ave. in Myerstown Boro. for a theft-related incident. Upon arrival, troopers learned that an unidentified Actor(s) illegally obtained the Victim’s banking information and used the same information to purchase $4,000.00 in fraudulent transactions. The Victim was a 34 year old Myerstown woman. PSP Jonestown is currently investigating.

Swatara Township

Accidental Shooting – On April 17, 2021 at 5:00 a.m., this incident occurred on Cindy Dr. State Police responded to the Good Samaritan Hospital in the City of Lebanon for a report of an accidental shooting. Through investigation, it was determined that the Victim was at his residence in Swatara Twp. attempting to disassemble a handgun. The Victim was unaware the handgun had a round in the chamber. The handgun subsequently discharged, striking the Victim in the hand. The Victim was a 29 year old Jonestown man. Investigation is ongoing.

Union Township

DUI – On April 17, 2021 at 2:07 a.m., a traffic stop conducted by members of PSP Jonestown on SR 72 and Everest Ln. found the vehicle Operator to be under the influence of alcohol. Charges for this incident are pending forensic blood analysis results. The vehicles involved included a 2004 Suzuki Motor Corp.

Drug Possession – On April 17, 2021 at 6:01 a.m., PSP Jonestown responded to the 00 block of Old Forge Rd. for a report of an unresponsive individual. The Suspect was found to be in possession of drugs. Investigation is ongoing.

Simple Assault – On April 16, 2021 at 11:45 a.m., State Police responded to SR 72 for criminal trespass. Through investigation, it was discovered that the Suspect arrived at the above location, parking in front of the building. The Suspect exited his vehicle and walked to the rear of the building, where he urinated. The Suspect then fled the scene in his vehicle in an unknown direction of travel. The Victim was a 45 year old Fredericksburg man. Investigation is ongoing.
