The physicians and staff at the Womenโ€™s Health Center of Lebanon have joined WellSpan Health to expand patientsโ€™ access to OB-GYN care, it was announced May 4. The practice is now known as WellSpan OB/GYN.

The eight physicians and two advanced practice providers, along with their staff, became part of the regional health care system April 26.

They will continue to see patients in their office locations: WellSpan OB/GYN-Lebanon, at 845 Helen Drive in Lebanon, and WellSpan OB/GYN-Palmyra, at 701 Leon Ave. in Palmyra. Hours of operation (8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday) will also remain the same.

โ€œWe are grateful to be able to partner with these successful organizations as they help us build upon WellSpanโ€™s reputation as a leader in advanced specialty care,โ€ Carrie Willetts, senior vice president of WellSpan Healthโ€™s east region, said in a statement to LebTown.
โ€œAs a trusted partner in our community, it is our goal to make southcentral Pennsylvania a healthier place for all of us to live, work and play.โ€

Dianne Moore, vice president, Women & Children Service Line at WellSpan Health, noted that the Womenโ€™s Health Center has a long history of providing compassionate and friendly health care to women in Lebanon County.

The affiliation with WellSpan Health will bring patients extra benefits, Moore said in a release, including telehealth offerings and digital medicine tools, online scheduling and ease of access to medical records, and health monitoring between appointments.

The team at the Womenโ€™s Health Center of Lebanon โ€œis a great addition โ€ฆ and weโ€™re thrilled to be able to provide a greater depth and breadth of services to families across the southcentral region,โ€ David Gasperack, WellSpan Healthโ€™s vice president and regional medical director, east region, said in the release.

WellSpan Healthโ€™s regional span extends to Lebanon, Lancaster, York, Adams, Franklin and Cumberland counties, and into northern Maryland. According to its website, the system employs approximately 20,000 people, including a clinically integrated network of about 2,600 physicians and advanced practice providers, and offers more than 200 patient care locations.

WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon and WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital in northern Lancaster County are among the eight hospitals under the WellSpan umbrella.
In addition to WellSpan OB/GYN, the network recently added WellSpan Parkway Neurology/Neurosurgery/Interventional Pain/Rehabilitation in Franklin County and northern Maryland and WellSpan Internal Medicine-5th Avenue in York.

The system also opened WellSpan Urgent Care in Annville in August 2020 and is just opening WellSpan Heart & Vascular Center in York. Its expansion of WellSpan York Cancer Center is nearing completion as well.
