Annville Township

Domestic Violence Offenses – On May 9, 2021 at 10:18 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers were summoned, by the Victim, to South King St. for a reported domestic violence incident. Upon troopers’ arrival, the Victim and the Arrestee were interviewed. The Arrestee was taken into custody for domestic violence-related offenses. The Arrestee was transported to the Lebanon County Central Booking Center for processing and arraignment. The Arrestee was Luis Morales-Pardo, a 49 year old Annville man. The Victim was a 49 year old Annville woman. Charges are pending before MDJ Ditzler.

City of Lebanon

Drug Sale – On May 7, 2021 at 1:25 a.m., this incident occurred at Colebrook Rd. and South 12th St. In the commission of this crime, the Arrestee was in possession of controlled substances. The vehicles involved included a 2007 Nissan Altima.

Cornwall Borough

Vehicle Accident – On Sunday, May 9, 2021 at 1:30 p.m., this crash occurred on SR 72 off of the ramp going to SR 117. A 25 year old Lakewood, NJ man was northbound on SR 72, when his vehicle traveled off of the ramp to SR 117, failed to negotiate a curve, and went up the embankment. No injuries were sustained as a result of this crash. The vehicle was towed.

Vehicle Accident – On Sunday, May 9, 2021 at 1:52 a.m., this crash occurred on SR 419 at Willow St. A 40 year old Douglassville woman was northbound on SR 419, traveled off of the roadway, and struck a utility pole. The vehicle was towed. The Operator was taken by EMS to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained as a result of this crash.

Jackson Township

Vehicle Accident – On May 8, 2021 at 7:56 a.m., this hit-and-run crash occurred when Unit 1, an unknown make and model, operated by Operator 1, failed to negotiate a right turn while traversing south on Stracks Dam Rd. Unit 1 struck a mailbox, located on the 400 block of Stracks Dam Rd. in Jackson Twp. After striking the mailbox, Unit 1 continued to slide through the front yard (north) of the residence, located on the 400 block of Stracks Dam Rd., and strike a decorative tree, located on the 400 block of Stracks Dam Rd. Upon arrival, Unit 1 had fled the scene. The mailbox, located on the 400 block of Stracks Dam Rd., was completely removed from the ground and broken in two pieces. The decorative tree, located on the 400 block of Stracks Dam Rd., was completely broken off at the ground and destroyed. There were no injuries reported as a result of this crash.

Jonestown Borough

DUI – On May 8, 2021 at 1:55 a.m., at Swatara Dr. and North Broad St., a traffic stop was initiated on the Arrestee’s vehicle for an Obedience to Traffic Control Devices violation. During the traffic stop, the Arrestee admitted to consuming alcohol prior to driving. The Arrestee participated in Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and numerous indicators of impairment were observed. The Arrestee was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and transported to PSP Jonestown for a breath test. Charges are pending before MDJ Wolfe. The Arrestee was a 27 year old Jonestown woman. The vehicles involved included a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox.

North Londonderry Township

Retail Theft – On April 22, 2021 at 3:28 p.m., North Londonderry Twp. police have cited a 27 year old Lebanon man with summary Retail Theft following an incident in which the man failed to scan and pay for merchandise, valued at $67.98. This incident occurred at the Wal-Mart in Palmyra.

Theft – On May 7, 2021 at 10:22 a.m., a resident on the 1,100 block of South Green St. in Palmyra reported a five-gallon can of gas was taken from his garage sometime on May 4, 2021 and May 5, 2021. The caller advised that his garage door was probably up at the time of the theft. The loss including the gas is estimated at $40.00.

Retail Theft – On April 18, 2021 at 12:40 p.m., Alberto Ramos-Vega, a 50 year old Lebanon resident, was arrested for multiple counts of Retail Theft in connection with an investigation that began on April 18, 2021. Ramos-Vega stole multiple items, in addition to altering price tags in an effort to obtain store merchandise at prices lower than their full retail value. This incident occurred at the Wal-Mart in Palmyra.

Vehicle Accident, Following Too Closely, Expired Registration, Expired Inspection – On May 8, 2021 at 10:12 a.m., a 43 year old Lebanon man was cited for multiple violations as a result of a crash that occurred on May 8, 2021. The man received citations for Following Too Closely, Operating a Vehicle With an Expired Registration, and Operating a Vehicle With Expired State Inspection. The man was operating a vehicle that struck a utility trailer. The trailer was attached to a vehicle being operated by a 36 year old Harrisburg man, and a 44 year old Harrisburg man. The Lebanon man’s vehicle needed to be towed from the scene. This incident occurred on Main St. at the Wal-Mart entrance.

Retail Theft – On April 29, 2021 at 6:26 p.m., police responded to the 00 block of North Londonderry Sq., at Dollar General, for a retail theft. A 31 year old Hershey man was found to have concealed numerous beverages from the store, then exiting without making payment for the items. The total amount of the stolen merchandise was $13.70. The man was charged with misdemeanor Retail Theft. Charges were filed with DJ Garver’s office.

Vehicle Accident – On May 11, 2021 at 7:24 a.m., police responded to the intersection of East Main St. and Apple Blossom Ln. for a four-vehicle crash. A 55 year old Annville man reported that he was traveling east on SR 422 and approached the intersection of East Main St. and Apple Blossom Ln. The man stated that he was unable to observe the traffic in front of him due to a glare from the sun. He rear-ended the vehicle operated by a 21 year old Lebanon man. The impact caused the Lebanon man to strike the vehicle operated by a 55 year old Lebanon woman, which caused her vehicle to strike the truck operated by a 39 year old Palmyra man. Three of the vehicles required towing. The Palmyra man’s truck sustained minor rear-end damage, but was driven from the scene. The Lebanon woman reported injuries as a result of this crash and was transported to the Hershey Medical Center. The Annville man was cited with Following Too Closely. The Lebanon man was cited with Drivers Required to be Licensed. Citations were filed with DJ Garver’s office.

South Londonderry Township

Retention Of Library Property – On May 10, 2021, this incident occurred on the 00 block of Landing Dr. in Palmyra. A 49 year old Harrisburg woman, a 42 year old Hummelstown woman, and a 39 year old Palmyra woman were charged with Retention of Library Property for failing to return books borrowed from the Palmyra Public Library after being mailed a letter advising them of overdue property from the Palmyra Public Library.

Swatara Township

Vehicle Accident – On May 11, 2021 at 2:03 p.m., this crash occurred in the right shoulder of I 78 West, at mile marker 3.9. Unit 2, a 2016 Freightliner Cascadia Evolution, driven by Operator 2, a 57 year old Jonesborough, TN man, was stopped on the right shoulder and was occupied by Operator 2 at the time that this crash occurred. Unit 1, an unknown make and model, driven by Operator 1, was traveling in the righthand lane. Unit 1, for an unknown reason, veered into the right shoulder and, in doing so, sideswiped the rear left corner of Unit 2, causing scratches to the trailing portion of Unit 2. After impact, Unit 1 fled the scene, heading west without stopping to provide information. Unit 2 remained on the north shoulder. No witnesses were identified while on scene. Operator 2 was not injured as a result of this crash.

DUI – On May 9, 2021 at 6:51 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to the 2,350 block of Quarry Rd. for a two-vehicle crash. While on scene, Operator 1 showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody for Driving Under the Influence. The occupants of Unit 2 were transported to the Hershey Medical Center for suspected minor injuries. Troopers are investigating.

Union Township

Theft Of Vehicle Parts – On April 27, 2021 at 6:43 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to the Appalachian Trail parking lot, located on Moonshine Rd. in Union Twp. Through investigation, it was discovered that, while the Victim’s vehicle was parked in the parking lot, unknown Actor(s) removed the vehicle’s catalytic converter. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194, reference number PA21-562818. The Victim was a 46 year old Portsmouth, VA man. The vehicles involved included a 2019 Subaru Outback.

False Alarms – On May 6, 2021 at 9:48 p.m., the Defendant who owns, uses, or possesses an alarm device or automatic dialing device did cause or permit three false alarms to occur in a consecutive 12-month period, cause or permit a subsequent false alarm to occur in the same consecutive 12-month period. The Defendant did permit a 10th false alarm in a consecutive 12-month period. The Defendant was Wesco Aircraft in Jonestown.
