Bethel Township
Theft – Sometime between June 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. and June 25, 2021 at 8:23 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to North Mechanic St. for a report of a theft. An unknown Suspect(s) stole the Victim’s license plate. The Victim was a 32 year old Fredericksburg man. The vehicles involved included a Ford Focus. Investigation is ongoing.
PFA Violation – On June 27, 2021 at 5:44 p.m., State Police responded to Spruce Ave. for an in-progress PFA violation. Through investigation, it was determined that the Arrestee violated the PFA by parking in front of the Victim’s residence for an extended period of time while working on his truck. The Arrestee also yelled at the Victim, which is a violation of the PFA. The Arrestee was taken into custody, and charges were prepared. The Arrestee was subsequently transported to Lebanon County Central Booking to await preliminary arraignment. The Victim was a 39 year old Fredericksburg woman. The Arrestee was Jordan Hower, a 39 year old Newmanstown man.
City of Lebanon
Drug Possession – On June 21, 2021 at 1:06 p.m., at South 8th St. and Walton St., a traffic stop conducted by members of PSP Jonestown yielded the seizure of cocaine and additional drug paraphernalia. The vehicles involved included a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu & Malibu Maxx.
East Hanover Township
Drug Possession – On June 17, 2021 at 3:58 a.m., this crime occurred on Allentown Blvd. and Judy Ln. In the commission of this crime, the Suspect was in possession of a controlled substance.
Vehicle Accident – On June 27, 2021 at 6:35 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2010 Subaru Forester, driven by Operator 1, a 37 year old Peach Bottom woman, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 10 year old Peach Bottom juvenile male, Passenger 2, a 6 year old Peach Bottom juvenile male, and Passenger 3, a 5 year old Peach Bottom juvenile male, was traveling in the left lane of I 81 South at mile marker 82.3. Unit 1 left the roadway and entered the median, striking the cable guidewire. Unit 1 sustained disabling damage to its left side. Unit 1 was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.
Heidelberg Township
Vehicle Accident – On June 26, 2021 at 9:15 a.m., this reportable crash occurred at Prescott Rd., just south of Morgan Dr. in Heidelberg Twp. Unit 1, a green 2003 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by Operator 1, a 16 year old Newmanstown juvenile male, was traveling north in the right lane of Prescott Rd. Unit 1 traversed off of the roadway, onto the right shoulder, where it struck the road sign and side-swiped a utility pole, before coming to final rest in the ditch on the right shoulder. Initial impact occurred as the front quarter panel of Unit 1 struck the utility pole. Unit 1 was disabled from the crash and was towed from the scene by Automan Towing. Operator 1 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash but refused EMS treatment. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Right Side of Roadway.
Jackson Township
Fleeing And Eluding – On June 21, 2021 at 12:45 a.m., this crime occurred on King St. and South Ramona Rd. as a blue sedan fled at a high rate of speed after PSP troopers attempted a traffic stop.
Vehicle Accident – On June 24, 2021 at 10:27 a.m., this reportable crash occurred at SR 422 West, on the 500 block of West Lincoln Ave., in Jackson Twp. Unit 1, a silver 2013 Honda CRV, driven by Operator 1, a 26 year old Lebanon woman, was traveling west on SR 422, when it rear-ended Unit 2, a silver 2009 Cadillac SRX, which was stopped for traffic at the traffic light. Initial impact occurred as the front bumper of Unit 1 struck the rear bumper of Unit 2. Unit 1 and Unit 2 both came to final rest on the right shoulder of the roadway. Unit 1 was disabled from the crash and towed from the scene by Giles R Miller Towing. Operator 1 did not sustain injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 2 sustained injuries of unknown severity as a result of this crash and was transported via Myerstown EMS to the Hershey Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Operator 1 was cited for Following Too Closely.
Swatara Township
Vehicle Accident – On June 25, 2021 at 2:50 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, driven by Operator 1, a 26 year old Jonestown man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 26 year old Jonestown woman, was traveling west on Grace Ave., near its intersection with Water St. in Swatara Twp. As Unit 1 was traveling west, Unit 1 exited the right side of the roadway, subsequently hitting an impact attenuator. Unit 1 sustained major impact damage as a result of this crash. This damage included a damaged frontal portion, which was pushed in, and a damaged front axle. Neither Operator 1 nor Passenger 1 sustained any injuries as a result of this crash. Unit 1 was towed by Leffler’s Towing. PSP Jonestown was assisted on scene by Life Lion EMS and Bunkerhill Fire Company. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.
Theft – State Police responded to Swatara Circle for a report of a theft. Through investigation, it was determined that unknown Actor(s) removed a magazine subscription from the Victim’s mailbox sometime between June 24, 2021 at approximately 4:00 p.m. and June 25, 2021 at approximately 9:00 a.m. A neighborhood canvass was conducted, which revealed an additional Victim had an American flag removed from his front yard. The American flag was recovered in a neighboring driveway. The unknown Actor(s) then fled the scene by unknown means in an unknown direction of travel. The Victims were a 73 year old Jonestown man and a 73 year old Jonestown man. The stolen property included One Magazine Subscription Form, valued at $0.00, and a Small American Flag, valued at $10.00.
Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – On June 27, 2021 at approximately 9:28 a.m., troopers from PSP Jonestown were dispatched to investigate a criminal mischief that occurred on the 2,300 block of Quarry Rd. in Swatara Twp. Through further investigation, troopers learned that sometime between June 26, 2021 at 9:30 p.m. and June 27, 2021 at 9:00 a.m., an unknown Actor(s) arrived at the above-listed location and vandalized the Victim’s vehicle with eggs. Broken eggshells and egg yolk were observed on the driver’s side and roof of the Victim’s vehicle. No damages were caused to the vehicle. A Suspect has not been identified. The Victim was a 24 year old Lebanon man. The vandalized vehicles included a 2018 Honda Civic. PSP Jonestown is currently investigating. Union Township
Vehicle Accident – On June 15, 2021 at 11:40 a.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2001 Honda Accord, driven by Operator 1, a 64 year old Taylors, SC woman, and Unit 2, a 2017 Ford Explorer, driven by Operator 2, a 45 year old Hamburg woman, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 20 year old Hamburg man, and Passenger 2, a 20 year old Hamburg man, were traveling south on I 81 near mile marker 86. During this crash, both Unit 1 and Unit 2 were traveling in the left passing lane. Unit 1 failed to maintain a fast distance to Unit 2. Unit 1’s 12 o’clock position then struck Unit 2’s 6 o’clock position while in the left lane. This would be both Unit 1’s and Unit 2’s point of initial impact. Unit 2 then veered across the right curb lane and came to final rest on the north shoulder of the roadway. Unit 1 veered to the south, coming to final rest in the median of the roadway. Both Unit 1 and Unit 2 required towing. Passenger 2 required medical attention for minor shoulder pain and was transported via Life Lion to St. Joe’s. Operator 1 was cited for Following Too Closely.
Drug Possession – On June 22, 2021 at 11:25 p.m., this crime occurred on Maple Ln. and Awol Rd. In the commission of this crime, the Arrestee was in possession of a controlled substance. The Arrestee was a 24 year old Lebanon man. The vehicles involved included a 2015 Ram 1500 Promaster.
