Mount Gretna Craft Brewery is celebrating Oktoberfest with food, beer, and music this weekend with a Party in the Parking Lot.

The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the brewery, 2701 Horseshoe Pike, Palmyra.

According to the event page, brewery servers “will take orders from your tailgates and fill your pints at our outdoor beer trailer.”

The special tailgate menu includes a pretzel braid with beer cheese and mustard, bratwurst with kraut and fries, a vegan bratwurst platter, sauerbraten with spaetzle and braised red cabbage, pork schnitzel with warm German potato salad and braised red cabbage, a corner burger with fries, the MGCB BBQ sandwich with Kansas City pulled pork or honey BBQ pulled chicken on toasted brioche and fries, and apple strudel.

Free reservations can be made for a spot in the parking lot (bring lawn chairs) or for an outdoor table in the biergarten.

There also will be “live, authentic folk music from the Alps” by the Alpenlaenders, the website says.
