Built in 1990, the Union Canal Elementary School has received renovations over the last few years, but due to the pandemic opportunities of bringing the public in to see the finished work have been limited.
The Cornwall-Lebanon School District recently invited members of the media and general public to visit the school after-hours and see the completed renovations and construction project outside of the hustle and bustle of the school day.

The renovation project was done both to modernize the interior, adding color throughout the building, and as well as better control water run-off from adjacent agricultural areas. To that end, an additional basin was added to the site as part of the project.

Union Canal Elementary School is located at 400 Narrows Dr, Lebanon, PA 17046.

One of the new additions as part of the project was a “study nook” for 4th and 5th graders. This space can be used for small group gatherings or individual and group studying.
