Bethel Township

DUI – On Nov. 21, 2021 at 4:37 p.m., EMS personnel advised members of PSP Jonestown that an unknown male was slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle, a silver 2021 Toyota Prius, in the area of the 400 block of Mountain Dr. in Bethel Twp. Prior to arrival, EMS advised that the unknown individual had left the scene. The vehicle was subsequently observed parked in a field along North Mechanic St. in Bethel Twp. The Operator was showing signs of impairment upon initial observation. The Operator was then asked to conduct SFSTS and was subsequently placed under arrest for the suspicion of DUI. Trooper Wolff is investigating. The Operator/Arrestee was a 53 year old Jonestown man.

Cornwall Borough

Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 22, 2021 at 12:10 a.m., this crash occurred on SR 322 near Boyd St. This crash occurred as Operator 1, a 25 year old York man, was traveling west on SR 322. Unit 1 started to hydroplane, drifting to the right and subsequently off of the roadway. In an attempt to correct Unit 1 back onto the roadway, Operator 1 caused Unit 1 to travel up an embankment and flip over onto its roof. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Unit 1 was towed from the scene.

Disorderly Conduct – The Arrestee, a 37 year old Lebanon man, was cited for Disorderly Conduct after an incident that occurred on Sept. 14, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. on Burd Coleman Rd.

North Lebanon Township

DUI – On Nov. 20, 2021 at 12:20 a.m., PSP arrested the Arrestee, Raymond Mitchell, a 39 year old Lebanon man, for driving under the influence of alcohol. This incident occurred on SR 72 North and Long Ln. The vehicles involved included a 2015 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup.

Retail Theft – Kristian Thomas, a 28 year old Myerstown resident, was charged with Retail Theft after an incident that occurred between Oct. 6, 2021 and Oct. 28, 2021 at Hobby Lobby in Lebanon Valley Mall, failing to pay for $311.01 worth of merchandise.

Defiant Trespass, Criminal Mischief – Chantz Wenzler, a 24 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Defiant Trespass and Criminal Mischief after an incident that occurred on Oct. 16, 2021 in the 1300 block of Sandhill Rd.

North Londonderry Township

Vehicle Accident – Operator 1, a 72 year old Annville woman, was cited for Vehicle Turning Left in connection with a three-vehicle crash on Nov. 20, 2021 at 11:46 a.m. Operator 1 attempted to turn left from Main St. (SR 422) into the entrance of the Wal-Mart parking lot. Operator 1 failed to yield the right-of-way to oncoming traffic. Unit 1 was struck by Unit 2, driven by Operator 2, a 59 year old Mechanicsburg man. After the initial collision between Unit 1 and Unit 2, Unit 1 was pushed into Unit 3, driven by Operator 3, a 39 year old Palmyra man.

Swatara Township

Drug Possession, Flight To Avoid Apprehension – On Nov. 22, 2021 at approximately 9:02 a.m., PSP Jonestown was informed that a Wanted Person, Gavin Pillsbury, a 24 year old Pine Grove man, was currently at the Love’s Truck Stop on the 00 block of Old Forge Rd. in Union Twp. After confirmation of an active NCIC warrant (refer to PA2021-959902), patrol troopers responded to the area. Upon observing troopers, Pillsbury took off on foot into the woods in the area of the Lickdale Rd. bridge. While Pillsbury attempted to flee, he shed his coat and was observed crossing the Swatara Creek. The area was then saturated by patrol unit members and, after approximately 45 minutes of searching, Pillsbury was found hiding under a log off of Darkes Rd. and was taken into custody by members of PSP Jonestown and Troop L K9 Handler Trooper Rudy. Upon search, Pillsbury was in possession of a broken meth pipe with suspected meth residue. He was processed and transported to Central Booking. Trooper Wolff is investigating.

Union Township

DUI Crash – On Oct. 21, 2021 at 9:11 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to Reeds Creek Rd. and Lincoln School Rd. for a report of a single-vehicle crash into the guide rail. Upon arrival, the identified Operator exhibited numerous signs of impairment and was taken into custody for driving under the influence. PSP Jonestown is investigating. The Arrestee was Andrew Batson, a 33 year old Palmerton man. The Arrestee was also cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic. The Arrestee was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. The Arrestee did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. The vehicles involved included a 2013 Nissan Frontier. The vehicle sustained disabling damage to its front end and passenger’s side tire. The vehicle was towed by Joe May’s Towing Company.
