Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 28, 2021 at 5:08 a.m., this crash occurred on SR 72 South, just before the SR 117 exit ramp. This crash occurred as Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 56 year old Lebanon man, was traveling south on SR 72, when Operator 1 lost control of Unit 1 and rolled it onto its side. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Unit 1 was towed from the scene.
Deer Struck – Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 38 year old Akron woman, struck a deer on Nov. 29, 2021 at 7:15 p.m. on SR 322 and Boyd St. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Unit 1 sustained minor damage as a result of this crash but was drivable.
Deer Struck – Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 30 year old Denver man, struck a deer on Nov. 29, 2021 at 7:19 p.m. on SR 322, just west of Boyd St. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Unit 1 sustained minor damage as a result of this crash but was drivable. ย

Assault Bodily Injury No Weapon – On Oct. 25, 2021 at 1:30 p.m., at Chapel Rd., PSP Jonestown was referred a possible child abuse investigation. The Victim was a Newmanstown juvenile male. The investigation is ongoing.
North Lebanon Township
Drug Possession – Miriam Naimi, a 19 year old Annville resident, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after an accident that occurred on Sept. 17, 2021 at the intersection of SR 72 and 22nd St.
Retail Theft – Anton Ivashchenko, a 37 year old Myerstown resident, was charged with Retail Theft after an incident that occurred on Nov. 15, 2021 at the Wal-Mart in Lebanon, after failing to pay for $239.69 worth of merchandise.
Drug Possession – Matthew Hodges, a 27 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after an incident that occurred on Nov. 13, 2021 on the 1100 block of East Old Cumberland St.
Drug Possession – Deyanira Santana, a 25 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia after a traffic stop on Oct. 30, 2021 on the 1400 block of West Maple St.
Drug Possession – Ricky Canby, a 40 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance on Nov. 11, 2021 after a traffic stop on the 1600 block of Heilmandale Rd.
Drug Possession – Bryan Diaz-Gomez, a 19 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Possession of Marijuana on Nov. 12, 2021 after a vehicle contact was made on Theater Dr. in Lebanon.
Drug Possession – Eric Hough, a 28 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Possession of Marijuana on Nov. 18, 2021 after a vehicle contact was made in the Lebanon Valley Mall.
Drug Possession – Ricardo Figueroa-Perez, a 31 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after an incident that occurred on Nov. 23, 2021 after a vehicle stop was made on SR 343 and Kimmerlings Rd.
DUI – Cory Urena, a 21 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Driving Under the Influence after an accident that occurred on Sept. 17, 2021 on SR 72 and 22nd St.
Swatara Township
Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 28, 2021 at 2:53 a.m., this crash occurred on I 81 North near mile marker 92.6. This single-vehicle crash involved Unit 1, a 2014 Nissan Sentra, driven by Operator 1, a 59 year old Pittsfield, MA woman, Passenger 1, a 34 year old Pittsfield, MA man, and Passenger 2, an 11 year old Pittsfield, MA juvenile female. Operator 1, Passenger 1, and Passenger 2 were all wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 and Passenger 2 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash and were transported via Life Lion EMS to the Hershey Medical Center. Passenger 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.
Endangering Welfare Of Child – On Oct. 27, 2021 at 6:21 p.m., at Fairway Dr., PSP Jonestown received a referral for suspected child neglect. The Victim was a 7 year old Jonestown juvenile female. This investigation is ongoing.
Shoplifting – On Nov. 26, 2021 at 4:28 p.m., State Police responded to Old Route 22 for a report of a retail theft. Through investigation, it was determined that the Arrestee took possession of one bottle of Krazy Glue and left the store without paying for it. The Arrestee was located on scene. The Arrestee was taken into custody, processed, and cited with Title 18: 3929(a)(1). The Arrestee was subsequently released. The Arrestee was a 24 year old Schuylkill Haven man. The Victim was BG’s Value Market in Jonestown. The stolen property included One Bottle of Krazy Glue, valued at $3.50.
Union Township
Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 17, 2021 at approximately 12:25 p.m., this crash occurred on I 81 South at the overpass with Fisher Ave. in Union Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2015 Kenworth Tractor, driven by Operator 1, a 41 year old Amarillo, TX man, was utilizing the on-ramp to I 81 South from Fisher Ave. Unit 1 was nearing the merge point and overturned onto its passenger’s side. Unit 1 came to a position of final rest on its passenger’s side, facing west, blocking both southbound lanes of travel. Evidence indicates that the vehicle rolled over as a result of a load shift in the trailer. The roadway was closed and traffic was detoured until approximately 6:44 p.m. Unit 1 was removed from the scene by Motter’s Towing. PSP Jonestown was assisted on scene by Trooper Dell, Trooper Kline, Corporal Koch, Officer Noell (Motor Carrier Enforcement), PennDOT, Life Lion EMS, Fort Indiantown Gap Fire Department, NLFES, Fire Police, and Lebanon County Hazmat. Operator 1 was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Accidents Involving Overturned Vehicles.
Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 11, 2021 at 10:44 p.m., this crash occurred on SR 72, just south of Jonestown Rd. This crash involved Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 30 year old Cleveland, OH man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 60 year old Cleveland, OH man, and Passenger 2, Ja 43 year old Cleveland, OH man, and Unit 2, driven by Operator 2, a 19 year old Lebanon man. Operator 1, Passenger 1, and Operator 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Passenger 2 was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 sustained injuries of unknown severity as a result of this crash and was transported via First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon to the Hershey Medical Center. Passenger 1 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash and was transported via First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon. Passenger 2 sustained suspected serious injuries as a result of this crash and was transported via Life Lion EMS to the Hershey Medical Center. Operator 2 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash and was transported via Life Lion EMS.
Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 29, 2021 at 5:30 p.m., this crash occurred on Fisher Ave. near its intersection with Marsanna Ln. in Union Twp. Unit 1, a 2001 Honda Civic, driven by Operator 1, was traveling east on Fisher Ave., approaching the traffic light for the I 81 South exit ramp when a deer entered the roadway from the north. Unit 1 was unable to take evasive actions before striking the deer in the 12 o’clock position. This was Unit 1’s point of initial impact. After impact, Unit 1 was able to pull to the shoulder of the roadway to await police arrival. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. No tow was necessary.
Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 28, 2021 at 8:04 a.m., this reportable crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2004 Ford F350, driven by Operator 1, a 33 year old Baltimore, MD man, was traveling north on I 81, attempting to exit at exit 90 in Union Twp. Operator 1 began to negotiate the right curve of the exit at a speed too fast for the wet conditions. Unit 1 began to slide and Operator 1 attempted to correct the turn. Initial impact occurred as the front bumper of Unit 1 struck a roadside reflector pole and then overturned onto its roof. Unit 1 came to final rest overturned and facing southeast. Operator 1 was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Unit 1 was towed from the scene. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.
Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 18, 2021 at 9:20 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 1994 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Operator 1, a 17 year old Lebanon juvenile male, was traveling south on Bordnersville Rd., west of its intersection with SR 72. This crash occurred as Unit 1 was attempting to negotiate a lefthand curve. Operator 1 then lost control of Unit 1. Unit 1’s 11 o’clock position then came in contact with a guide rail. This was Unit 1’s point of initial impact. Unit 1 then flipped to its side and landed in a grassy area, south of the roadway. This was Unit 1’s point of final rest. Operator 1 was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. No medical attention was required. Unit 1 required towing. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.
Vehicle Accident – On Nov. 28, 2021 at 11:09 a.m., this crash occurred on I 78 Westbound near mile marker 1.9. This crash involved Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, an 86 year old Coplay man, accompanied by Passenger 1, an 86 year old Coplay woman, and Unit 2, driven by Operator 2, a 24 year old Macungie woman, and Unit 3, driven by Operator 3, a 21 year old Matawan, NJ woman. Operator 1, Passenger 1, Operator 2, and Operator 3 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 and Passenger 1 sustained injuries of unknown severity as a result of this crash and were transported via Life Lion EMS to the Hershey Medical Center. Operator 2 and Operator 3 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash.
West Cornwall Township
Deer Struck – Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 36 year old Lebanon man, struck a deer on Nov. 28, 2021 at 10:13 p.m. when it was traveling on SR 322 Westbound, just west of the PennDOT Salt Shed. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Unit 1 was towed from the scene.
