The Suzanne H. Arnold Art Gallery at Lebanon Valley College will receive a new $1.5 million gift from its namesake donor to create a new endowed gallery directorship position, the college announced Wednesday, Dec. 15.
President James M. MacLaren announced by press release that Suzanne Arnold Schrotberger would make the gift to further support the LVC institution which she had helped establish as founding donor back in 1994.
MacLaren said that the in addition to endowing the directorship, filled since 2011 by Dr. Barbara McNulty, the gift also includes a $100,000 challenge to support internships and other hands-on experiences in the fine arts.
“The art gallery at LVC is a gem within the regional arts community,” said Arnold in the release. “Dr. McNulty and future directors will continue the work of bringing the arts alive to countless generations of future artists and art lovers.”
