Bethel Township

Hit-and-Run – At 1 a.m. Feb. 18, a crash occurred as a vehicle, of an unknown make and model and driven by an unknown individual, was traveling on Weaverland Drive. The vehicle, for an unknown reason, exited the roadway and onto a property on the 00 block of Weaverland Drive, where it struck a light post. The vehicle then fled the scene in an unknown direction, without stopping to provide information. The extent of the damage to the vehicle is unknown at this time. It is also unknown whether the individual sustained any injuries as a result of this crash.

City of Lebanon

Harassment – A 51-year-old Lebanon man was cited for harassment for his involvement with an incident that occurred at 9:20 a.m. Jan. 8 on the 400 block of North 2nd Avenue, a report said.

Public Drunkenness – A 44-year-old man with no permanent address, was cited for public drunkenness at 4:08 a.m. Jan. 16 on the 1100 block of Cumberland Street.

Curfew – Two females, both 15, of Lebanon, were cited for curfew at 3:11 a.m. Jan. 16 on the 1100 block of Walton Street.

Purchase, Consumption, Possession, or Transportation of Liquor – A female, 16, of Lebanon, was cited for purchase, consumption, possession, or transportation of liquor, malt, or brewed beverages at 3:41 a.m. Jan. 23 on the 400 block of South 10th Street.

Drug Possession – Charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia have been filed against Justin Franco Fuentes, 19, of Lebanon, after contact with police at 11:41 a.m. Dec. 16 on the 200 block of South 4th Avenue. During the same incident, Alberto Laureano-Rios, 18, of Lebanon, was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Disorderly Conduct – A 51-year-old Lebanon man was cited for disorderly conduct at 12:29 a.m. Feb. 1 on the 800 block of Mifflin Street.

Disorderly Conduct – A 59-year-old New York man was cited for disorderly conduct at 3:40 a.m. Feb. 11 on the 200 block of South 4th Street.

Disorderly Conduct – A 37-year-old Lebanon man was cited for disorderly conduct at 5:19 a.m. Feb. 12 on the 700 block of East Lehman Street.

Lebanon County Bench Warrant, Drug Possession – Cory Urena, 21, of Lebanon, was arrested on a Lebanon County bench warrant at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 8 on the 1200 block of Van Buren Street. Following the arrest, he was alleged to have possessed a small amount of marijuana and was subsequently charged with that violation. The possession of a small amount of marijuana has been filed.

DUI, Criminal Mischief, Disorderly Conduct, Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed – Charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, and driving vehicle at safe speed were filed against Angel Vincente, 28, of Lebanon, after a minor single-vehicle accident. The accident occurred at 1:55 p.m. Jan. 1 at North 7th and Maple streets. Vincente was not injured in the accident. Police allege his BAC was .16% at the time of the accident.

DUI, Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed – Charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving vehicle at safe speed were filed against Cindy Prout, 59, of North Cornwall Township, after a minor single-vehicle accident at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 16 on the 200 block of South 10th Street. Prout was not injured in the accident. Police allege she refused to submit to blood testing.

Simple Assault – Luis Martinez-Mendez, 23, of Lebanon, was charged with simple
assault (domestic violence-related) after an incident at 8:50 a.m. Feb. 13 on the 300 block of North 8th Street. Martinez-Mendez is accused of striking the victim, 33, with open and closed fists, causing minor injury to her face and head. He is also accused of throwing a box fan, striking her on the head. Martinez-Mendez fled the scene but was apprehended not far from the apartment. He was transported to LCCB and arraigned before MDJ Maria Dissinger. He was incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $5,000 bail.

PFA Violation – Jose Rodriguez Calderon, 40, of Lebanon, was charged with a
protection from abuse order violation at 4:41 a.m. Feb. 9 on the 100 block of North
9th Street. Rodriguez is accused of making contact with the victim, 32. She was
not injured as a result of the contact. Rodriguez was transported to LCCB and arraigned
before MDJ Maria Dissinger. He was incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Public Drunkenness – A 28-year-old Lebanon man was cited for public drunkenness at 2:39 a.m. Feb. 21 at North 2nd Avenue and East Lehman Street.

Public Drunkenness – A 36-year-old South Lebanon Township man was cited for public drunkenness at 11:38 a.m. Feb. 17 on the 4000 block of East Lehman Street.

Disorderly Conduct – A 58-year-old Lebanon woman was cited for disorderly conduct at 11:50 a.m. Feb. 20 on the 00 block of South 10th Street.

East Hanover Township

DUI – At 1:56 a.m. Feb. 13, the arrestee, who police identified only as a 29-year-old resident of Worcester, Massachusetts, operated a 2011 Cadillac CTS while under the influence of a controlled substance, according to police.

Theft of Motor Vehicle – At 12:38 p.m. Jan. 13, police responded to Park Drive for a report of a silver/aluminum 2018 Hyundai Elantra being fraudulently purchased via online means from Copart, an online car auction based in Grantville. Police are investigating.

Heidelberg Township

Hit-and-Run – At 3:41 p.m. Feb. 22, a crash occurred on Market Street approximately five yards north of its intersection with Main Street. A vehicle, of unknown make and model and driven by an unknown individual, was traveling south on Market Street, preparing to turn west onto Main Street, when it struck a stop sign on the west side of Market. After impact, the vehicle fled the scene. The extent of the damage to the vehicle is unknown. It is also unknown whether the driver sustained any injuries.

Vehicle Accident – At 9:57 a.m. Jan. 29, a crash occurred as a 2018 Kia Forte driven by a 34-year-old Grantville woman was traveling east on East Reistville Road. The Kia’s tires lost contact with the snow/ice-covered road surface, causing Bryant to lose control of the Kia. The Kia exited the roadway from the south shoulder, where it hit an embankment and rolled over 180 degrees. The Kia came to a rest on its roof, facing east. The Kia’s side and curtain airbags were deployed as a result of this crash. The Kia sustained damage to its roof and passenger’s side and was towed from the scene by Leffler’s Towing. The woman was wearing a seatbelt at the time of this crash and reported no injuries. She was cited for driving vehicle at safe speed.

Jackson Township

Identity Theft – At 12 p.m. Feb. 22, police responded to a report of identity theft. Through investigation, police learned the victim, 63, of Myerstown, attempted to open an unemployment account and was unable to do so. The victim contacted unemployment and was advised that he has a current case and changed it on Feb. 22. The victim denied making the account and advised unemployment that it was not him. The victim related that he sustained no monetary loss, according to police. The victim was advised to contact the Federal Trade Commission as well as the Social Security Administration as his identity has been compromised. The stolen property included social security.

Vehicle Accident – At 7:34 p.m. Feb. 15, a single-vehicle crash occurred on Weavertown Road approximately 100 yards east of its intersection with Quarry Drive. A 2007 Scion TC driven by a female, 16, of Newmanstown, was traveling east on Weavertown Road. The Scion left the right side of the roadway, striking a fence. The Scion traveled under the fence and through a grassy area, then struck the fence again. The Scion came to a rest entangled in the fence. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by CJ Wagner’s. The driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and reported no injuries. She was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Vehicle Accident – At 2:39 p.m. Feb. 23, a crash occurred on Elco Drive approximately 100 yards west of its intersection with Weavertown Road. A 2002 Ford Explorer driven by a female, 17, of Myerstown, was traveling west on Elco Drive. The driver lost control of the Ford for unknown reasons and it rolled onto its driver’s side, coming to a rest, facing northeast, partially on the shoulder and partially in the westbound lane of Elco Drive. The Ford sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by CJ Wagner’s. The driver was wearing her seatbelt and reported no injuries, according to police. PSP Jonestown was assisted on scene by Lebanon County fire companies and Elco School District police. The female was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Hit-and-Run – At 2:47 p.m. Feb. 15, a crash occurred as a vehicle, of unknown make and model and driven by an unknown individual, was traveling east on Elco Drive. A 2005 Lexus RX330 driven by a 61-year-old Lebanon woman was traveling west. The vehicle, for an unknown reason, veered into the westbound travel lane, where it sideswiped the Lexus. After impact, the vehicle fled the scene, heading east, without stopping to provide information. The Lexus exited the roadway via the north shoulder before stopping. The woman was unable to obtain any identifying information for the vehicle. No airbags were deployed as a result of this crash. The extent of the damage to the vehicle is unknown. The woman was wearing her seatbelt and reported no injuries. Police were assisted on scene by CJ Wagner’s Towing. The woman was cited for registration and certificate of title required.

Millcreek Township

Assault Bodily Injury No Weapon – Police are investigating a report of suspected child abuse. The incident(s) occurred sometime between 12 a.m. Feb. 14 and 11:59 p.m. Feb. 17 on North Sheridan Road. The victim is a male, 8, of Newmanstown. This investigation remains open.

Myerstown Borough

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – At 5:06 p.m. Feb. 6, police responded to South Railroad Street for a report of criminal mischief. The victim was a woman, 39, of Myerstown. The damaged property included a small garage window, valued at $50. Police are investigating.

Theft of Vehicle Parts – At 12 p.m. Jan. 31, police responded to East Richland Avenue for a report of a theft. It was determined that an unknown individual(s) cut a catalytic converter off the victim’s motorhome, a 2016 Ford Econoline E-450, sometime between Jan. 31 and Feb. 22. The victim was a woman, 66, of Lebanon. The stolen property included a catalytic converter, valued at $300.

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – At approximately 3:05 p.m. Feb. 4, police were dispatched to the 700 block of South Railroad Street to investigate a vehicle that was vandalized/damaged while parked outside a residence. Police observed the rear and multiple passenger’s side windows were broken and several silver BBs throughout the interior and exterior of the damaged vehicle. The crime occurred sometime between 4:30 p.m. Jan. 31 and 3 p.m. Feb. 4. A neighborhood canvass was conducted with negative results. The vehicle described above is a white 2008 Chevrolet Express Bus. The victim was a woman, 53, of Myerstown. Anyone with any information regarding the incident is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194 and reference incident number PA2022-144288.

North Cornwall Township

Vehicle Accident – At 3:21 p.m. Feb. 22, a crash occurred on the 1600 block of Cumberland Street as a 39-year-old Lebanon woman struck the rear-end of a vehicle driven by a 73-year-old Lebanon man while he was waiting in the eastbound lane of traffic. No injuries were reported, according to police. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

Harassment – At 9:24 p.m. Feb. 14, a domestic incident occurred on the 200 block of South 22nd Street. A 19-year-old Lebanon man was cited with harassment after striking the female victim on the head.

Disorderly Conduct – At 2 a.m. Feb. 20, an incident occurred on Quentin Road near Giant. a 59-year-old Lebanon man was cited with disorderly conduct for his possession of drug paraphernalia when he was stopped for a traffic violation.

North Londonderry Township

Vehicle Accident – At 5:28 a.m. Feb. 19, police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Eisenhower Road, off of Gravel Hill Road. A vehicle driven by an 18-year-old Harrisburg man struck an uprooted tree that was across the roadway, blocking both lanes of travel. No injuries were reported, according to police. Guerrisi’s vehicle was towed by Doug’s Transport.

Simple Assault – Police charged a female, 15, of Palmyra, with simple assault following an incident at 12 p.m. Feb. 3 at Palmyra High School.

Swatara Township

Vehicle Accident – At 8:01 a.m. Feb. 25, police investigated a single-vehicle rollover crash that occurred on Quarry Road, just east of its intersection with South Lancaster Street. A 2015 Volkswagen Jetta driven by a 21-year-old Fredericksburg man was traveling east on Quarry Road when it left the southern side of the roadway, struck an embankment, became airborne, and overturned. The Jetta came to a stop on its roof, facing south, and was towed from the scene by Motter’s Towing. The man was wearing his seatbelt and reported no injuries, according to police. He was cited for driving vehicle at safe speed.

Theft – Police responded to Quarry Road for a report of a theft. It was determined that an unknown individual(s) entered a field between about 6 p.m. Feb. 18 and 6:30 a.m. Feb. 19, and removed approximately 300 goose decoys before fleeing the scene. The decoys are described as being both “Hardcore” and “GHD” brands and are labeled with either “CRS,” “BD,” or “DD.” Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194 and reference incident number PA2022-210390. The victim was a man, 23, of Lebanon. The stolen property was valued at $5,000.

Identity Theft – At approximately 10:45 a.m. Jan. 8, police responded to a residence on East Chestnut Street for a report of identity theft after an unknown individual opened an account in the victim’s name. No monetary value was reported lost/stolen from the victim. The victim was advised to contact the Federal Trade Commission and the Social Security Administration as his identity had been compromised. The victim was a man, 61, of Jonestown. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194 and reference incident number PA2022-235338.

Union Township

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – At 9:14 p.m. Feb. 11, police were dispatched to the parking lot of a Dollar General at 507 Jonestown Road for a report of criminal mischief. The arrestee, who was not identified by police, was found to have caused an unknown amount of damage to a 2012 Ford owned by a woman, 31, of Shamokin. The arrestee was also found to be in possession of drugs and related paraphernalia.

Vehicle Accident – At 2:36 a.m. Feb. 18, a crash occurred as a truck tractor, of an unknown make and model and driven by an unknown individual, was stopped in the left lane of Old Forge Road, and a 2017 Kia Sportage driven by a 69-year-old Jonestown woman was stopped in the right lane. While the truck tractor was making a right turn onto Fisher Avenue, its trailer struck the driver’s side of the Kia. The truck tractor then made a left turn onto SR 72 North and fled the scene. The woman was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash and sustained no injuries as a result of the crash. Vehicle Accident – At approximately 12:45 p.m. Feb. 16, police investigated a two-vehicle crash on SR 22 East, just east of its intersection with SR 72 in Union Township. The crash occurred as a 2014 Lexus GS300 driven by a 47-year-old West Reading man was traveling east in the right lane of SR 22. The Lexus moved to the left lane and back to the right, losing control and striking a guide rail on the south side of the roadway. After initial impact, the Lexus was struck by a 2018 Oshkosh Motor Truck concrete mixer driven by a 22-year-old Lititz man. Both men were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. The West Reading man sustained injuries of unknown severity and was taken by ambulance to the Hershey Medical Center. The Lititz man did not sustain any injuries. The Lexus was removed from the scene by Joe May’s Towing. Police were assisted on scene by NLES Fire and Life Lion EMS. The West Reading man was cited for turning movements and required signals.

Harassment – Police are currently investigating a report of alleged child abuse. The incident(s) occurred sometime between 12 a.m. Jan. 1 and 11:59 p.m. Feb. 10 on SR 72. The victim was a female, 9, of Jonestown. This investigation remains open.
