Bethel Township
Theft Of Vehicle Parts – At 6:09 p.m. Feb. 24, police responded to a lot at Countryside Auto Sales off State Route 22 for a report of a catalytic converter theft. The stolen property included a catalytic converter, valued at $900, taken from a 2007 Hummer. Police are investigating.
City of Lebanon
Harassment – A 41-year-old Lebanon man was cited for harassment after an
incident at 8 p.m. Feb. 22, on the 100 block of South 10th Street.
Robbery, Harassment – Alfredo Rivera Lugo, 30, of Lebanon, was charged with robbery and harassment after an investigation into an incident at 1:45 p.m. Dec. 3 at Mifflin and Spruce streets. Rivera is accused of striking a 53-year-old man and taking his cellphone. The victim suffered a minor injury during the robbery. Rivera was arrested on Feb. 22, arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Carl Garver and incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $50,000 bail.
Criminal Trespass, Criminal Mischief, Public Drunkenness – Richard Schofield Jr., 42, of Lebanon, was charged with criminal trespass, criminal mischief (two counts), and public drunkenness after an incident at 6:27 p.m. Feb. 11 on the 200 block of Walnut Street. Schofield is accused of breaking a window and entering a residence by crawling through the window. He was confronted by the homeowner and subsequently backed out of the window. He was apprehended and transported to LCCF after he was treated for lacerations received while crawling through the window. He was arraigned before MDJ Maria Dissinger and incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $20,000 bail.
Simple Assault, Disorderly Conduct – Keah Shutt, 32, of Lebanon, was charged with simple assault (domestic violence-related) and disorderly conduct after an incident at 8:27 p.m. Feb. 12, on the 200 block of Mifflin Street. Shutt is accused of pushing a woman, 53, over a table, causing minor injury to her face. Shutt was apprehended and transported to LCCB. She was arraigned before MDJ Anthony Verna and incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $5,000 bail.
Simple Assault – Paul LeGrande, 35, of Lebanon, was charged with simple assault
(domestic violence-related) after an incident at 4:18 p.m. Feb. 23 on the 400 block
of North 9th Street. LeGrande is accused of striking a woman, 29, causing minor
injury to her neck and chest. LeGrande was apprehended and transported to LCCB. He
was arraigned before MDJ Carl Garver and incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $5,000 bail.
Drug Possession – Brittany Morse, 29, with no permanent address, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia at 11:04 a.m. March 3 on the 700 block of Walnut Street. Morse was found sleeping inside her
vehicle by a state constable who had a warrant for her arrest. Morse was arrested and is
alleged to have possessed a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. She was
transported to LCCB and arraigned before MDJ John Ditzler. She was incarcerated at
LCCF in lieu of $1,000 bail.
Cornwall Borough
Scattering Rubbish – A woman, 28, of Ephrata, was cited for scattering rubbish after an incident on Aug. 2 in the area of SR 322, just west of Boyd Street.
Heidelberg Township
Assault Bodily Injury No Weapon – On March 2, police responded to Mountain Road for an active domestic. The investigation revealed that the arrestee, Michele Hoffman, 60, of Newmanstown, punched the victim, a man, 60, of Newmanstown, multiple times and scratched his arms during an argument. The arrestee was arrested and charges have been filed.
Jackson Township
Vehicle Accident – At 2:42 p.m. Feb. 24, a two-vehicle crash occurred on Hilltop Road before its intersection with Mountain View Road. A 2002 Chevrolet 2500 driven by a 61-year-old Womelsdorf woman was traveling north on Hilltop Road when it missed its turn onto Mountain View Road. The woman reversed the car while in the right lane in an attempt to turn left onto Mountain View Road, when it subsequently hit a 2008 Nissan Altima driven by a male, 17, of Myerstown, who was following behind. Initial impact occurred as the rear bumper of the Chevrolet hit the front bumper and hood of the Nissan. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash and reported no injuries, according to police. The Chevrolet sustained minor rear bumper damage. The Nissan sustained disabling front-end damage and needed to be towed from the scene. She was cited for limitations on backing.
Millcreek Township
Identity Theft – At 8:30 a.m. Feb. 27, police responded to Cottage Lane for a report of identity theft. It was determined that an unknown actor(s) utilized a 60-year-old Newmanstown woman’s identity to file for unemployment benefits. The victim became aware of this when she received a letter stating that she owed money to the Department of Labor and Industry. The victim suffered no financial loss as a result of this incident. The victim had already reported this incident to the state and was provided additional information regarding available resources from the Federal Trade Commission.
Myerstown Borough
Theft of Motor Vehicle – At 1:23 a.m. March 1, an unknown actor(s) stole a dark blue 1998 GMC Sierra that was parked along South Cherry Street. The vehicle belonged to a 43-year-old Myerstown man.
North Cornwall Township
Vehicle Accident – At 11:45 a.m. Feb. 25, a 76-year-old Annville woman made a left turn to head north on South 22nd Street from Walnut Alley and failed to see a 33-year-old Bethel woman, also traveling north on South 22nd Street. The Annville woman collided with the Bethel woman. No injuries were reported, according to police. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
North Londonderry Township
Possession of a Prohibited Offensive Weapon, Drug Possession – At 12:51 p.m. Feb. 22, police responded to the 900 block of Park Drive for a report of a male subject displaying a switchblade knife. Upon arrival, the arrestee, Michael March, 43, of Palmyra, was found to have a switchblade in his possession, along with a small container of methamphetamine (crystal meth). The arrestee was charged with possession of a prohibited offensive weapon and possession of a controlled substance.
Hit-and-Run – At 2:04 p.m. Feb. 27, police responded to a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of South Forge Road and Park Drive. The vehicle driven by an 80-year-old Palmyra man was struck on the driver’s side rear door as he was turning onto South Forge Road. The striking vehicle struck the man’s vehicle with its front driver’s side and subsequently fled the scene. The striking vehicle is a beige Chevrolet Equinox, with a year range of 2018-2020 and a missing portion of its driver’s side bumper. Control of Alarm Device – Police have cited Flagship Cinema, at 2 North Londonderry Square in Palmyra, for control of alarm devices after there were more than three false alarms at the business within a 12-month period.
Vehicle Accident – At 3:58 p.m. March 2, a Palmyra man was driving north in the 800 block of South Railroad Street when he fell asleep. The man’s vehicle struck the rear of another man’s legally parked vehicle. The first vehicle suffered heavy front-end damage while the parked vehicle suffered heavy rear-end damage. Both vehicles needed to be towed from the scene. The Palmyra man did not suffer any injuries. He was cited for careless driving. The Palmyra Fire Department and fire police assisted on the scene.
Palmyra Borough
Drug Possession – At approximately 1:46 a.m. Feb. 19, police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of the 800 block of East Main Street and discovered that the driver, Riley Ney, 19, was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Ney was charged for the possession of a small amount of marijuana and for possession of drug paraphernalia.
South Londonderry Township
DUI, Hit-and-Run – Amanda Billington, 34, of Palmyra, was charged with DUI general impairment, accidents involving an unattended vehicle, careless driving, and driving an unregistered vehicle after a report of a hit-and-run at 4:21 p.m. Jan. 7 at Stonebrook and Scenic View drives. According to a report, Billington struck a parked car on Stonebrook Drive and subsequently left the scene without notifying the owner of the vehicle or calling the police.
Vehicle Accident – At 8:16 a.m. Feb. 17, a black Dodge Caravan driven by a 79-year-old Elizabethtown man, collided with a Mazda sedan driven by a 67-year-old woman of Claymont, Delaware, at the intersection of routes 322 and 117. The woman was driving west on Route 322 and the man made a lefthand turn from Route 322 onto Route 117 into the woman’s path. The woman was transported to the hospital for injuries sustained in the crash, according to police. Both vehicles needed to be towed from the scene. Campbelltown Fire and fire police assisted on the scene.
Vehicle Accident – At 9:38 a.m. Feb. 17, a farm tractor driven by a 21-year-old Hershey man was towing a foraging trailer on Colebrook Road at Lawn Road. After stopping at a stop sign, the tractor lost traction on the road and slid backward, striking a Volvo driven by a 20-year-old Lebanon man. The impact pushed the Volvo into a Toyota driven by a 68-year-old Palmyra woman. No injuries were reported. The Volvo needed to be towed from the scene.
Swatara Township
Theft By Deception – At 7:09 p.m. Jan. 28, police responded to East Hazel Street for a report of a scam in which a 22-year-old Lebanon woman sent $600 via CashApp to what she believed to be a landlord for a property that was listed on Facebook Marketplace. Police are investigating.
Union Township
Identity Theft – At approximately 3 p.m. Feb. 28, police received a report of identity theft from a 29-year-old Jackson Township man. Through further investigation, police learned that an unidentified person opened an unemployment account in the victim’s name. No monetary value was reported lost/stolen from the victim. The U.S. Office of Inspector General Department of Labor was notified of the incident. The stolen property included unemployment benefits applied for in the victim’s name. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194 and reference incident number PA2022-252732.
West Cornwall Township
Harassment – A woman, 34, was cited for harassment from an incident that occurred at 11:15 a.m. Feb. 11.
