Using funds from the American Rescue Act, Jonestown Borough will help Northern Lebanon Fire and Emergency Services (NLFES) equip its firefighters with new air packs.
Jonestown Borough Council voted at its June meeting to make a $25,000 donation to NLFES, which will help fund the purchase of the new air packs.
“We are grateful we have the funds to help the Department for such a pressing need,” council president Tom Keefer said in a press release.
NLFES is looking for additional funding to cover the full cost of the new air packs. If you would like to donate to this cause, you can send a check to Northern Lebanon Fire and Emergency Services at PO Box 689, Jonestown, PA 17038.
