LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.

This week, meet Pua!

Pua, says owner Mikah Bowers, is named for the pig in the Disney film Moana. Why, you ask? “Because she ‘oinks’ like a pig when she is excited!!!” Mikah explains.

Pua — which, by the way, means “flower” in the Hawaiian language, although the name of Moana’s pet pig is actually derived from the Polynesian word “puaka,” which means “pork” or “pig” — is a yellow Labrador retriever. Mikah says they bought her about two years ago in Lancaster.

“She loves EVERYONE, and it doesn’t matter if you’ve never met, you are best friends forever,” adds Mikah, of Lebanon.

Keep your eyes peeled for Pua, and see if she oinks when you meet her!
