The Lebanon County Master Gardeners will present a $5 class this month on making the most of the winter months when it comes to growing and harvesting saffron.
The class, “Growing Saffron Crocus,” will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Penn State Extension’s Lebanon County offices, 2120 Cornwall Road.
Attendees will learn how to grow and care for the saffron crocus, the history of the plant, and its culinary and non-culinary uses.
