The Lebanon County Master Gardeners will present a $5 class this month on making the most of the winter months when it comes to growing and harvesting saffron.

The class, โ€œGrowing Saffron Crocus,โ€ will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Penn State Extensionโ€™s Lebanon County offices, 2120 Cornwall Road.

Attendees will learn how to grow and care for the saffron crocus, the history of the plant, and its culinary and non-culinary uses.
