The Lebanon VA Medical Center provides the best patient experience among VA hospitals in the nation for the second year in a row, according to a recent announcement from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Lebanon VAMC ranked in the top quintile in the Survey of Healthcare Providers Overall Rating of the Provider, SHEP Inpatient Overall Rating of the Hospital, Veterans Signals Trust scores, and the All Employee Survey Scores for best place to work, the announcement said. The local VA center also won last year’s rankings and was a national finalist in 2020.
The award was presented during the VA’s annual Customer Experience Symposium, held Sept. 7-8 in Washington, D.C.
Lebanon VAMC (and its five clinics) scored the highest overall combined employee and patient scores among complexity level 2 facilities in the Veterans Health Administration, according to a recent press release.
“It’s a great day when the actions, culture and outcomes of our staff are recognized and honored at a national level,” said Robert W. Callahan Jr., CEO and director of Lebanon VAMC. “The best in VA Overall Experience Award is like the Oscar, Emmy or Grammy awards.”
“It’s a reaffirmation for years of excellence and demonstrates great achievements are possible with excellent teamwork.”
