Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will host its 40th annual Veterans Day Program on Sunday, Nov. 6, at 2 p.m.
The rain or shine event will be held in the parking lot above the Pennsylvania Veterans Memorial, which is currently undergoing renovations.
There will be limited handicapped parking at the cemetery itself. Parking will be available at the Arrowhead Community Club (9-65 Fisher Avenue) with shuttle bus transportation to and from the cemetery.
Indiantown Gap National Cemetery director John Spruyt will welcome the audience, followed by a keynote address from Nicholas M. Taylor, Dept. of Pennsylvania Commander for Catholic War Veterans. Memorial Council Trustee Joseph Snyder will serve as master of ceremonies.
The Avenue of Flags display – made up of casket flags donated by Veterans’ families – will be flown through Veterans Day Week. State, territory, and service flags will also be flown.
Organizers said that the community is encouraged to attend.
