The Friends of Cornwall Iron Furnace will host their annual “Christmas at Cornwall” event on Saturday, Dec. 3, at Cornwall Iron Furnace, 94 Rexmont Road.
The family-friendly event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and features seasonal refreshments, live music, and a model train display by Brian’s Model Trains running under the furnace’s large, decorated tree. The museum store will be open for holiday shopping, with children’s crafts in the Blacksmith Shop.
Tickets will be available day-of at the Cornwall Iron Furnace Visitors Center. The cost is $8 for adults, $7 for senior citizens and AAA members, $4 for youth ages 13 to 17, and free for children ages 12 and under.
Cornwall Manor will again be partnering with Friends of Cornwall Iron Furnace to provide access to historic buildings on their campus during the event, including tours of the Buckingham Mansion and the 1860s paymaster’s office (where Santa Claus himself is expected to make an appearance).
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Cornwall Manor will host a “Cookies, Carols, Crafts & More” gathering at the Freeman Community Center including Christmas carols, a craft and bake sale, and holiday gift wrapping by donation.
For more information on this and future events, check out the Furnace’s website or call (717) 272-9711.
