Annville Township

DUI, Careless Driving – On Nov. 14, police cited Cody Keller, 25, of Lebanon, with two counts of DUI and one count of careless driving following a single-vehicle crash at 4:50 a.m. Oct. 2 at Louser and Brandt roads. Keller’s vehicle exited the road on a curve, striking several trees and a fence.

Unsworn Falsification to Authorities – On Nov. 15, police cited Jayden Swann, 24, of Annville, with one count of unsworn falsification to authorities following a crash on Nov. 5 at West Main and South Lancaster streets in which Swann falsely reported to police that she was the driver of the car that caused the crash when she was not. On Nov. 7, Swann provided a written statement to police in which she again lied about being the driver, knowing she was not. The actual driver of the car that caused the crash was also cited with a summary traffic offense.

Jackson Township

Drug Possession – At 12:35 a.m. Nov. 9, police responded to West Lincoln Avenue and arrested a 37-year-old Myerstown man for drug possession.

Vehicle Accident – At 4:01 p.m. Nov. 14, a crash occurred on SR 422, west of Greble Drive when a 2020 Ram 1500 driven by a 62-year-old Lebanon man was traveling west and hit a deer that ran across the road. The Ram sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.

Vehicle Accident, Stop Signs and Yield Signs – At 11:04 a.m. Nov. 9, a crash occurred on SR 501 at King Street. A 2010 Mazda 3 driven by a 86-year-old Myerstown man accompanied by a 83-year-old Myerstown woman was traveling south on SR 501, north of King Street, when a 2005 Mercury Sable driven by a 19-year-old Myerstown woman traveling east on King Street entered the intersection, turning left onto SR 501 without proper clearance. The Mercury was struck by the Mazda. All occupants were wearing seatbelts. The 19-year-old woman sustained no injuries. The Myerstown man sustained injuries of unknown severity and his passenger sustained suspected serious injuries; both were transported via First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon to Hershey Medical Center. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Myerstown Fire and EMS assisted. Police cited the 19-year-old driver with stop signs and yield signs.

Theft Items from Motor Vehicle – Sometime between Oct. 3 and Oct. 10, an unknown person cut three catalytic converters from two 2021 Isuzu box trucks at Laysers Flowers in Myerstown on the 500 block of West Washington Avenue. The loss was $15,493.42.

Millcreek Township

Vehicle Accident, Stop Signs and Yield Signs – At approximately 8:05 a.m. Nov. 14, police responded to the intersection of East Bethany and South Sheridan roads for a two-vehicle crash with injuries. A white 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 21-year-old Myerstown man failed to safely enter the traffic way and was struck by a 2016 Ford C-Max driven by a 40-year-old Lebanon woman. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts and sustained minor injuries. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Western Berks EMS, Newmanstown Fire Company, Leffler’s Towing, and Sheidy’s Towing assisted on the scene. Police cited the Myerstown man with stop signs and yield signs.

North Annville Township

Vehicle Accident – At approximately 1:37 a.m. Nov. 17, police responded to SR 934 for a single-vehicle crash involving a deer. A 2020 Nissan Rogue driven by a 32-year-old Jonestown man was traveling north when a deer ran into the road and was struck. The Nissan sustained disabling front-end damage and was leaking coolant. The man was wearing his seatbelt and sustained no injuries.

North Londonderry Township

Vehicle Accident, Stop Sign Violation – At 5:11 p.m. Nov. 11, police responded to the intersection of Main Street and Plaza Drive after a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old Palmyra female entered the intersection without proper clearance and was struck by a vehicle driven by a 53-year-old Lebanon woman. No injuries were reported. The juvenile’s vehicle was towed from the scene. Police cited the juvenile with a stop sign violation through MDJ Garver’s office.

Scattering Rubbish – At 3:50 p.m. Nov. 13, police cited a 38-year-old Palmyra woman with scattering rubbish after she left a bag of household trash in a recycling dumpster at the North Londonderry Township Recycling Facility.

Palmyra Borough

Bench Warrants, Flight to Avoid Apprehension, Evading Arrest – At approximately 8:30 p.m. Nov. 13, police attempted to serve a warrant to Nathan Behney, 27, of Myerstown, on the 00 block of North Grant Street. Behney had two bench warrants out of Lebanon County for fleeing and eluding. Behney fled to the roof but was apprehended. Police cited him with separate charges of flight to avoid apprehension and evading arrest.

Bench Warrant – At 5:57 p.m. Nov. 14, police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on the 700 block of West Main Street for having a suspended registration. Police identified the driver as Cory Schaffer, 44.ย Police determined that Schaffer had a bench warrant out of Dauphin County for failure to appear, with the original charge being DUI-highest rate of alcohol (second offense).ย Police arrested Schaffer on the warrant and transported him to LCCB to await transport.ย ย 

Terroristic Threats, Harassment by Communication – On Nov. 16, police cited Kaylie Pagan, 24, through MDJ Carl Garver’s office for terroristic threats and harassment by communication. The charges are the result of an investigation into a report received on Aug. 7, in which Pagan is accused of contacting the victim anonymously using multiple internet phone numbers and threatening to burn the victim’s house down, burn the victim’s car, kill the victim’s dogs, and shoot the victim’s girlfriend.ย 

South Londonderry Township

Incapable of Safe Driving, DUI, Minors Prohibited from Operating with Alcohol – At 6:06 a.m. Sept. 18, police responded to Mount Wilson and Harvest roads for a crash. A vehicle driven by Charles Shutter III, 20, of Lebanon, was traveling south on Mount Wilson Road when he lost control while rounding a curve. The vehicle rolled onto its side. No injuries were reported. Police allege Shutter’s BAC was .091% at the time of the crash and cited him with incapable of safe driving, DUI-minor, minors prohibited from operating with alcohol in system, and driving too fast for conditions.

Swatara Township

Harassment – At 2:15 p.m. Nov. 14, police responded to Quarry Road for a report of an active domestic. Police cited a 41-year-old Lebanon woman and a 47-year-old Lebanon man with harassment.

Union Township

Vehicle Accident, Driving Vehicle at Safe Speeds, Required Financial Responsibility – At 6:06 p.m. Nov. 12, a crash occurred on SR 72 South, just north of Jonestown Road. A 2012 Honda Odyssey driven by a 25-year-old Lebanon woman was traveling south on SR 72 when it approached slow traffic, was unable to slow in time, and rear-ended a 2000 Toyota Corolla driven by a 46-year-old Lebanon man. The impact pushed the Toyota into a 2015 BMW 335I driven by a 37-year-old Lebanon man. The 25-year-old woman and the 46-year-old man were not wearing seatbelts. The 37-year-old man sustained no injuries, the 25-year-old woman sustained suspected minor injuries but was not transported, and the 46-year-old man sustained suspected minor injuries and was taken by Life Lion EMS to Hershey Medical Center. Two vehicles were towed from the scene. The BMW sustained minor damage but was driven from the scene. Police cited the Lebanon woman with driving vehicle at safe speeds and the 46-year-old man with driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked and required financial responsibility.
