LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.

This week, meet Winston!

Winston grins a doggy grin.

“He rescued his mom and I from the moment we met him,” says Kevin C. Wells of Mount Gretna. “Most people say they rescued their dogs — so, from our perspective that is also true.”

Winston, Kevin says, is a mix of York terrier and Chihuahua.

“Winston LOVES playing fetch with his stuffed toys: ‘Greenie,’ ‘Big Red,’ and a fun lion toy bought from a Lebanon County (Palmyra) small business โ€” Pet HQ,” his owner adds. “He is a certified therapy dog through Therapy Dogs International and brings so much love and joy to anyone that meets him.”

Kevin shares co-parenting duties with Jessica Whitcomb of North Lebanon.

“Did someone mention … treats?”

“Winston enjoys riding the lawn mower with his mom,” Kevin says, “riding in a doggy backpack on his dadโ€™s bike, and spending time with both sets of his grandparents in Palmyra and Jonestown. He tolerates his five feline siblings at his momโ€™s house and enjoys hiding his bones under his momโ€™s bed in the hopes that the cats wonโ€™t find them.

“Winston also enjoys hanging out with his dad in Mount Gretna and attending all the special events that occur in the neighborhood. Winston is truly the best li’l dog in the world โ€” 10 pounds of unconditional love.”

Keep your eyes peeled for Winston, both in Mount Gretna and North Lebanon. Be sure to enjoy his doggy grin!
