LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.

Our Pet of the Week sometimes is a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. Other times the weekly column will spotlight an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.

This week, meet adoptable Blue!

Blue

Blue, according to Danielle, a kennel technician at the Humane Society of Lebanon County, is a “stunning” pit bull that’s 3 or 4 years old.

“He found his way back to us as an owner surrender by no fault of his own when his owners were getting a divorce,” Danielle explained. “Our hearts were broken for our little boy Blue. … However, we are glad he is back and safe.”

Is Blue the boy for you? According to Danielle, Blue is “a sweet boy that enjoys going for the casual walks. He is adjusting to life back in the shelter, and we know he misses life in a home. He is treat motivated and also knows the sit and paw commands!”

Still need further persuasion? “This handsome fella enjoys receiving human affection and will also throw in some kisses!” Danielle added. “He would do well with kids, too. Blue thrives best in a home without other animals. He needs to be a one and only. He has enough love to give.”

The Humane Society is “looking for an amazing family who will give this boy some decompression time,” she said, a family that is “understanding of his past,” provides consistency and “most of all, unconditional love. … Please help us find Blue his new beginning.”

Adoption application and more information is available online at lebanonhumane.org or by calling the Humane Society at 717-628-1369.
