North Lebanon Township supervisors unanimously agreed to the low bid of $826,398.15 for this year’s paving project.

The bid from Pennsy Supply Inc. came in under budget, board chairman Ed Brensinger said.

Planned for paving are Alpha, Beta, Cappa, and Sholly avenues, Willow, Maple, Oak, and Sycamore lanes, and Parkway and Greenwood drives.

Alpha, Beta, Cappa, and Sholly were originally planned for paving last year, but when the low bid came in nearly $100,000 over budget, supervisors pushed back paving in hopes of lower costs this year.

Brensinger said that last year’s asphalt cost was around $105 per ton, whereas this year’s cost was $85 per ton.

Supervisors also unanimously agreed to the lowest fuel bid of $30,320 for 2023.
