LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
This week, meet Ace!
Ace (of Hearts), as his mommy Cyndi Boehler-Walsh likes to call him, is a longhaired, black- and cream-colored dachshund who turned 2 on March 18. Ace, Cyndi said, “filled the hole in my heart when my previous therapy dachshund Rocket died in 2021.”
In 2022, this stylish pup became a therapy partner with Cyndi through Caring Hearts Pet Therapy and KPETS. Since then, they have volunteered together at nursing homes, elementary schools, Cedar Crest High School, Lebanon Valley College, the state Farm Show (with the Pennsylvania Department of Health), and in numerous reading programs at area libraries. Ace is also a WellSpan volunteer at the hospital and Sechler Cancer Center.
He was featured on the cover of the April 2022 issue of GoLocal magazine and competed in Dogster magazine’s 2023 “America’s Favorite Pet” contest.
Sounds like Ace (of Hearts) is a busy pup! If you see him out and about, be sure to shake his paw to thank him for all his hard work and service!
