Lebanon County will be the site of two subsidized medical care events for pets in late April.
No Nonsense Neutering will provide low-cost spay and neuter services for cats, while the Rotary Club of Palmyra will sponsor a pet vaccination clinic.
On Wednesday, April 26, No Nonsense Neutering will hold a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) event at Jackson Recreational Park, 41 S. Fairlane Ave., Myerstown. The event is open for both pet and community cats, but registration is required.
Participants can sign up at www.nnnlv.org by clicking on “Cat Transport 2023” and following the registration instructions.
Community cat spaying or neutering costs $40 per cat and includes surgery, a rabies vaccine, a distemper vaccine for cats one year or younger, left ear notch, and treatments for ear mites, fleas, and worms. The TNR program helps control the feral cat population by trapping, neutering, and vaccinating the cats before returning them to their original location.
On Saturday, April 29, from 9 to 11 a.m., the Rotary Club of Palmyra will sponsor a pet vaccination clinic at the Sinkhole Saloon’s East Patio in Palmyra. The clinic accepts cash only and requires cats to be in carriers and dogs on non-retractable leashes. Pet owners are responsible for retaining vaccination documents.

Cat vaccinations include FVRCP for $12, feline leukemia for $27, and feline rabies for $14. Dog vaccinations include DHLPP for $12, bordetella for $12, Lymes booster for $27, canine rabies for $14, and canine influenza for $35.
These events aim to provide affordable pet care options for Lebanon County residents while promoting responsible pet ownership and a healthier community.
