After a year of planning, the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce is set to debut a new, business-oriented event — The State of the County.
The inaugural event, organized by Chamber president and CEO Karen Groh, aims to provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of Lebanon County’s status and prospects.
“Unless you’ve navigated for services, the average citizen isn’t aware of how many agencies keep a community running smoothly,” Groh said. “We want to showcase the work of these agencies and the amazing individuals who work hard behind the scenes.”
The program, scheduled for May 25, will offer brief presentations on seven key areas that significantly impact the local business environment, including business and economic development, community health needs, and an overview of the county’s financial health.
Each presentation will be packaged in a resource packet for attendees, giving businesses a better understanding of where things are headed and how they can engage more deeply. The Chamber expects the event to become an annual occasion, with future editions focusing on areas of significant growth or change.
“We’re hoping this event will showcase how wonderful it is to live, learn and work in Lebanon County and how each agency has an impact on our business community,” said Groh. “Businesses should leave with a better understanding of where things are going and how they can engage on a deeper level.”
The State of the County will be held from 8:00-10:00 a.m. at the Leedy Auditorium at Lebanon Valley College. Fulton Bank is sponsoring the event. Seating is limited, and registration is required. Interested individuals can register at lvchamber.org or by calling the Chamber at 717-273-3727.
