The Viking Foundation is an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the education, values, and cultural experience of the entire Northern Lebanon community. One overarching goal of the Viking Foundation is to extend the current educational opportunities through innovative programs through privately donated money and talent from all segments of the community.
In the past, the Viking Foundation has provided scholarships to deserving high school students who have shown a desire to give back to the Northern Lebanon community through volunteerism. The Foundation hopes to not only continue this tradition but expand in the years to come. The Viking Foundation is an approved educational improvement organization (EIO) under Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program. In addition to the annual golf tournament fundraiser, the Viking Foundation is pleased to announce a second community event fundraiser coming in November: a 5K & Fun Run!
The Vikes & Vets 5K event will be held on school grounds, at 345 School Drive, Fredericksburg, Saturday, November 11, 2023 and monies raised will help the Foundation continue to positively impact the lives of students and teachers while honoring active and retired military.
While this new event is just in the beginning planning stages, all members of the Viking Foundation are excited about the opportunity to further engage with community members and offer an event that might appeal to even more residents, including elementary-aged students.
