If you hear rumblings from northern Lebanon County over the next few weekends, worry not – it’s probably just the Gap.
Here’s the training schedule at Fort Indiantown Gap for the rest of June 2023.
Helicopter door gunnery training will be held June 11-15 between 1 p.m. and 2 a.m.
Demolition training will be held June 20-21 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., June 22-23 between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m., and June 28 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Artillery live-fire training will be held June 8-13 between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. and June 24-27 between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.
Hand grenade training will be held June 7-8 between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. and June 25 between 7 a.m. and 11:59 p.m.
Fort Indiantown Gap is the only live-fire and maneuver military base in Pennsylvania. It is considered the nation’s largest National Guard training facility by number of mandays trained – close to one million annually.
