Don and Ruthie Baylor, high school sweethearts from Lebanon High, celebrated an impressive 75 years of wedded bliss on Sunday, June 4. The festive occasion, held at Spang Crest, where Don resides, was graced by the presence of 50 close friends and family members.

The pair, residents of Cleona for half a century, raised their children, Brenda and Rick, before relocating to Woodland Estates. Their pride and joy extend to their five grandchildren, Erin Attivo, Erica Baylor, Andrew Baylor, Jim Buffington, and Zachary Buffington, and five great-grandchildren, Aidan Attivo, Olivia Baylor, Matthew Buffington, Ava Baylor, and Avery Buffington.

When asked to share their secret to a long and happy marriage, Don advised, “Find a great woman and keep her. Of course, there are ups and downs, but you work through them and keep each other close in your heart.”

Echoing his sentiment, Ruthie emphasized the importance of shared experiences: “Have fun together. Go places together, do things together, travel, learn new things, enjoy your kids and grandkids, and enjoy life together.”
