Annville Township
Loose Pigs – Police have been made aware of loose pigs running around in Annville and have made inquiries in regard to getting the pigs removed. While police applaud everyone’s effort in attempting to catch the pigs, police were advised that the more the pigs are chased, the harder it will be to catch them. Police are asking that unless there is a safety issue, please do not continue to chase the pigs toward more populated areas.
Bethel Township
Vehicle Accident, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic – At 7:37 a.m. June 23, a single-vehicle crash occurred as a 2004 Honda Element driven by a 63-year-old Bethel man was traveling south on Mount Zion Road. The Honda failed to maintain its lane as it negotiated a right curve, exited the road, struck a boulder and came to rest down an embankment. The Honda sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. The Bethel man was wearing a seatbelt, sustained a possible injury, and was transported via EMS to a nearby hospital. Police charged him with driving on roadways laned for traffic.
City of Lebanon
DUI – PSP Jonestown arrested Emanuel Taveras-De Los Santos, a 23-year-old Lebanon man, for DUI-related charges after an incident at 2:43 a.m. June 3 on Maple and North 9th streets.
Simple Assault – Police charged Joseph Feliciano, 37, with simple assault after he was involved in an argument with a woman on the 1100 block of Walton Street on June 19. The victim reported that Feliciano punched her multiple times in the face and head, causing bruises and contusions to her forehead.
Terroristic Threats, Simple Assault – Police charged Tyshon Ajani Staten, 24, with terroristic threats and simple assault after a woman reported that he pointed what she believed to be a firearm in her direction and asked her if she wanted to die on the 500 block of Maple Street on June 6. The victim reported that this placed her in fear for her life or serious bodily injury.
Drug Possession – Police charged Jamie Sites, 56, with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police were called to Lehman and Jones streets on June 10 for a potential overdose. When police arrived on the scene, Sites fled on foot. A brief foot pursuit occurred. Sites had an active warrant out of Dauphin County. Police took Sites into custody and found several items in his possession consistent with items used to package, store, and/or ingest controlled substances.
Furnishing Drug-Free Urine – Police charged Leonardo Hilerio-Rodriguez, 22, with furnishing drug-free urine after he attempted to evade or cause deceitful results in a drug test on the 500 block of Oak Street on June 16.
Drug Possession – Police charged a 38-year-old man with possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident at 7:26 a.m. May 20 on the 00 block of South 8th Street.
Harassment – Police charged a 65-year-old man with harassment after an incident at 5:28 p.m. May 21 on the 800 block of Cornwall Road.
Harassment – Police charged a 31-year-old man with harassment after an incident at 4:51 p.m. May 24 on the 1000 block of Cumberland Street.
Harassment – Police charged a 26-year-old woman with harassment after an incident at 4:51 p.m. May 24 on the 1000 block of Cumberland Street.
Disorderly Conduct – Police charged two 14-year-old males with disorderly conduct after an incident at 7 p.m. May 26 on the 500 block of Walnut Street.
Disorderly Conduct – Police charged a 32-year-old man with disorderly conduct after an incident at 7 p.m. May 26 on the 500 block of Walnut Street.
Harassment – Police charged a 27-year-old man with harassment after an incident at 2:10 p.m. May 29 on the 600 block of Union Street.
Disorderly Conduct – Police charged a 63-year-old man and a 21-year-old man with disorderly conduct after an incident at 2:49 p.m. May 31 on the 100 block of South 8th Street.
Public Drunkenness – Police charged a 29-year-old man after an incident at 6:08 p.m. June 1 on the 200 block of North 7th Street.
Public Drunkenness – Police charged a 62-year-old woman after an incident at 8:52 p.m. June 4 on the 700 block of Chestnut Street.
Public Drunkenness, Defiant Trespass – Police charged a 19-year-old man with public drunkenness and defiant trespass after an incident at 1:15 p.m. June 5 on the 800 block of Cumberland Street.
Public Drunkenness – Police charged a 54-year-old woman after an incident at 2:10 p.m. June 7 on the 1000 block of Willow Street.
Harassment – Police charged a 49-year-old man after an incident at 10:40 p.m. June 11 on the 300 block of New Street.
Public Drunkenness – Police charged a 40-year-old man after an incident at 3:30 p.m. June 13 on the 00 block of North 12th Street.
Public Drunkenness – Police charged a 40-year-old man at 11:39 a.m. June 14 on the 00 block of South Partridge Street.
Curfew Violations – Police charged an 11-year-old male and a 12-year-old male with curfew violations at 1:43 a.m. June 14 on 16th and Willow streets.
Stolen Vehicle Alert – According to police, there has been an increase in vehicle thefts and attempted vehicle thefts. Hyundai and Kia vehicles are being targeted at a higher-than-normal rate. Prevention tips: lock your vehicle, report suspicious activity (persons pulling on door handles trying to enter vehicles, multiple persons – some acting as lookouts, etc.), park in highly visible, well-lit areas when possible, do not leave valuables in your vehicle (firearms, money, electronics, etc.), and report vehicles that may appear out-of-place or recently abandoned (they might be stolen vehicles that have been left behind). ย
Cornwall Borough
Trespassing – Police charged an 18-year-old Lebanon woman, an 18-year-old Saxton woman, a 21-year-old Newmanstown woman, an 18-year-old Lititz man, an 18-year-old Jonestown man, a 19-year-old Harrisburg man, a 19-year-old Lebanon man, a 19-year-old Jonestown man, a 19-year-old Myerstown man, a 21-year-old Lititz man, a 24-year-old Lititz man, a 24-year-old Lebanon man, and a 25-year-old Lebanon man with trespassing after an incident on a property along Burd Coleman Road at the open pit on June 24. Police remind citizens to remember all areas by the water are “no trespassing” areas.
East Hanover Township
Scattering Rubbish – At 10:23 a.m. June 21, PSP Jonestown arrested a 63-year-old Myerstown man for scattering rubbish on the 00 block of McGillstown Road.
Vehicle Accident – At 10:18 p.m. June 27, a crash occurred on the 1700 block of SR 934. A 2011 Ford Escape driven by a 21-year-old Nazareth man was traveling south on SR 934 and failed to properly negotiate a left curve, striking a utility pole on the right side of the road. The Ford continued through two mailboxes before coming to a rest. The Ford sustained disabling damage. The man was wearing a seatbelt and reported no injuries.
Heidelberg Township
Vehicle Accident – At 11:36 a.m. June 22, a two-vehicle crash occurred on West Main Street, just west of its intersection with Carpenter Street. A 2013 Volkswagen GTI driven by a 27-year-old Schaefferstown man was departing from a parking spot on West Main Street when it was struck by a 2021 Ford Ranger driven by a 70 Newmanstown man which was traveling east on West Main Street. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and no injuries were reported. The Volkswagen sustained disabling damage and required a tow. The Ford sustained functional damage, and the Newmanstown man requested his own tow.
Jackson Township
Vehicle Accident, Stop Signs and Yield Signs – At approximately 10:30 a.m. June 25, police responded to South Ramona Road near King Street for a two-vehicle crash. A 2012 Dodge Caliber driven by a 36-year-old Lebanon woman failed to observe a 2017 Nissan Rogue driven by an 84-year-old Myerstown woman traveling west on King Street. The Dodge proceeded through a stop sign and was struck by the Nissan. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and no injuries were reported. C.J. Wagner’s Towing and Myerstown EMS assisted on the scene. Police charged the Lebanon woman with stop signs and yield signs.
Jonestown Borough
DUI – At approximately 5:48 p.m. June 21, police stopped a 2004 Toyota Camry driven by Keith Hilderbrandt, a 29-year-old Lebanon man, on South Lancaster Street near East Queen Street for a motor vehicle violation. Police arrested Hilderbrandt for suspicion of DUI.
North Cornwall Township
DUI – At 2:05 a.m. May 20, police charged Michael Riggins, 29, of Lebanon, with alleged DUI after an incident on Rocherty Road.
DUI – At 1:47 a.m. May 21, police charged Joselin Pujols-Santana, 43, of Cleona, with alleged DUI after an incident on Penn Avenue.
DUI – At 4:27 a.m. May 21, police charged Neysha Becerril Llorens, 33, of Lebanon, with alleged DUI after an incident on Quentin Road.
PFA Violation, Drug Possession – At 11:51 a.m. June 2, police charged Christopher Arnold, 38, of Lebanon, with a PFA order violation and possession of a controlled substance after an incident on Creekside Drive.
Simple Assault – At 7:52 p.m. June 12, police charged Duane Rubendall, 49, of Lebanon, after an incident on Bricker Lane in which Rubendall intentionally caused bodily injury to the victim. Police took Rubendall into custody and transported him to LCCB.
Simple Assault – At 3:57 p.m. June 12, police charged Gregory Royer, 41, of Lebanon, after an incident on Center Street in which Royer intentionally caused bodily injury to the victim. Police took Royer into custody and transported him to LCCB. Royer was also charged with strangulation.
DUI – At 8:26 p.m. June 17, police charged Paul Neumann, 57, of Reading, with alleged DUI after an incident on Oak Street.
Disorderly Conduct – At 4 a.m. June 18, police charged a 20-year-old Lebanon woman after an incident on Walnut Street.
Simple Assault – At 9:31 a.m. June 18, police charged Jaime Roman-Cosme, 38, of Lebanon, after an incident on Center Street in which Roman-Cosme intentionally caused bodily injury to the victim. Police took Roman-Cosme into custody and transported them to LCCB.
North Lebanon Township
Drug Possession – At approximately 7:23 p.m. June 21, police pulled over a 2019 Honda driven by Jared Bethea, a 32-year-old Lebanon man, on North 7th and Cherry streets for multiple title 75 violations. Upon initial contact with Bethea, odors of burnt marijuana were emitting from the inside of the vehicle. Bethea submitted to SFSTs, showed signs of impairment, and was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI-marijuana. Appropriate charges will be filed against Bethea.
Retail Theft – Sometime between May 28 and June 2, police investigated two individuals for retail theft at Walmart. Police charged Dannon Nunemaker and Olivia Bonilla, both of Lebanon, with retail theft and conspiracy to commit retail theft on June 28.
Drug Possession – In the early morning hours of June 22, police located an occupied vehicle at Lions Lake Park and arrested the vehicle’s occupant, Christopher Scheller, of York, for dangerous drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Drug Possession – On June 22, police found a 24-year-old man in possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia as the result of a traffic stop.
Retail Theft – On June 22, police received information about a 14-year-old stealing from Walmart. Police discovered that the subject stole over $1,000 in merchandise. Felony charges have been filed.
Bench Warrant, Driving While Suspended – On June 26, police were conducting a Click It or Ticket detail and found a 28-year-old female driver to have an active bench warrant out of Berks County, along with a suspended driver’s license and not wearing a seatbelt. Police transported her to LCCB.
Drug Possession – On June 28, police were conducting a Click It or Ticket detail and found a 22-year-old man in possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.
Attempted Theft of Motor Vehicles – During the night hours from June 28-29, police received two reports of attempted vehicle thefts involving Hyundais. Both vehicles’ ignition were tampered with. Anyone with any information is asked to contact North Lebanon Township police.
North Londonderry Township
Disorderly Conduct – At 2:27 p.m. June 16, police charged a 27-year-old Palmyra man after witnesses saw him driving his SUV in a grassy common area within the Rockledge community near Cambridge Road. The Palmyra man also drove over an embankment, damaging flowers.
Vehicle Accident, Careless Driving – Police charged a 59-year-old Middletown man following a crash at 12:05 p.m. June 22, on the 1300 block of East Main Street, in which the vehicle he was driving exited the road, struck a set of mailboxes, and damaged a curb to a local business. The man’s account of what happened did not match video surveillance footage of the incident.
Curfew Violation – At 11:37 p.m. June 15, police charged a 15-year-old Annville male for violating curfew after he was observed by police walking about the streets in the area of Old Forge and Bradley roads. This was the second incident involving the juvenile that week, and he was warned for violating curfew on June 13 by the police.
Theft of Motor Vehicle – At 11:49 p.m. June 25, a 13-year-old Palmyra female took a family member’s vehicle without permission and crashed after failing to stop at the stop sign at North Forge and Palmyra-Bellegrove roads. The vehicle continued across North Forge Road and struck a tree and steps of a residence, causing damage to the property. The driver then attempted to back off the property and struck a vehicle parked on the property. The female was not injured, but the vehicle had to be towed. The juvenile was turned over to a parent. Charges are pending.
Palmyra Borough
DUI, Drug Possession, Traffic Violations – At 1:10 a.m. June 9, police pulled over a vehicle on the 600 block of West Main Street for traffic violations. Police identified the driver as Thomas Canby, 40. Canby was determined to be under the influence of marijuana to the degree that he could not safely operate a motor vehicle. Police also found Canby to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed against Canby for DUI-drug impaired ability, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two summary traffic violations.
Retail Theft – At approximately 5:38 p.m. May 1, police received a call from Goodwill, reporting a potential retail theft in progress. When police arrived on the scene, officers were able to apprehend a subject suspected of shoplifting items from the business. Police identified the subject as Cheyenne Winters, 30. Several items were recovered from Winters, which were collectively valued at $174.35. A charge of retail theft was filed against Winters through the MDJ office.
DUI, Restrictions on Alcoholic Beverages, Traffic Violations – At 11:32 p.m. June 23, police pulled over a vehicle on the 100 block of West Main Street for traffic violations. Police identified the driver as Raisu Taylor, 31. Taylor was visibly intoxicated and in possession of an open alcoholic beverage container. Police placed Taylor under arrest for DUI and eventually transported him to LCCB for processing. Police charged Taylor with DUI-incapable of safe driving, restrictions on alcoholic beverages, and two traffic violations.
South Lebanon Township
Bench Warrant – Police issued a bench warrant for Mindy Devitz, 43, after she failed to appear for court after being charged with one count of fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, one count of driving while operating privilege is suspended, operate vehicle without valid inspection, and one count of unauthorized transfer or use of registration on May 23.
DUI, Driving While Suspended – At approximately 9:45 p.m. May 19, police pulled over a vehicle on Schaeffer Road and arrested the driver, Joel Santos-Rivera, 45. His BAC was .264% at the time of the arrest. Police charged Santos-Rivera with DUI and driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked (DUI-related).
General Impairment, DUI, Driving on Right Side of Roadway – At approximately 2:27 a.m. May 7, police pulled over a vehicle on the 1800 block of East Cumberland Street. Police arrested the driver, Melissa Oliveira, 34, for suspicion of DUI. Police charged Oliveira with general impairment, DUI-BAC .099%, DUI-controlled substance-THC, and driving on right side of roadway.
DUI – At approximately 1:57 a.m. May 6, police pulled over a vehicle on the 500 block of East Cumberland Street. At the conclusion of the investigation, police arrested the driver, Joshua Clemmer, 19, for suspicion of DUI. Police charged Clemmer with DUI-controlled substance-THC and DUI-drug/combination of drugs.
Theft By Unlawful Taking – At approximately 1:49 p.m. June 29, police responded to Home Depot, at 801 E. Walnut St., and charged an employee, Reese Brockman, 20, with one count of theft by unlawful taking.
South Londonderry Township
Vehicle Accident – At 11:36 a.m. June 27, police responded to the 2400 block of Horseshoe Pike for a single-vehicle crash. A vehicle driven by a 64-year-old Annville woman was traveling east on Horseshoe Pike and attempted to go around a vehicle that was looking to turn left into Risser’s. The vehicle exited the road, lost control, and hit a ditch. No injuries were reported.
Swatara Township
DUI Checkpoint – From approximately 10 p.m. June 24 to approximately 1:30 a.m. June 25, a DUI checkpoint was conducted on the 1900 block of SR 72 North and South. During the checkpoint, 53 motorists were contacted. Four were found to be driving while under the influence.
DUI – At 11:34 p.m. June 24, police were conducting a DUI checkpoint when they came into contact with Natasha Hosper, a 39-year-old Lebanon woman, who was driving a 2010 Buick Lacrosse on the 1900 block of SR 72 North while under the influence of alcohol.
Vehicle Accident – At 2:44 p.m. June 23, a two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersecting roads of North Mill Street and Swatara Drive. A 2011 Dodge Journey driven by a 60-year-old Womelsdorf woman was traveling south on North Mill Street and struck a pedicycle driven by a Lebanon male as it pulled into the intersection after proceeding through a stop sign without clearance. The driver of the pedicycle sustained a suspected minor injury but was not transported. The Womelsdorf woman was wearing a seatbelt and reported no injuries. Charges of DUI against the driver of the pedicycle are pending investigation.
Identity Theft – At 7:55 p.m. June 19, an incident occurred on the 500 block of Darlington Avenue. The stolen property included the victim’s driver’s license and a picture of the victim’s social security card. The victim was a 36-year-old Jonestown man. Police are investigating an identity theft.
Lost/Missing Firearm – Sometime between April 2 and May 1, a Smith & Wesson M&P9 Shield serial #NHY9105 went missing from a 2006 Mercury Automobiles Mariner, on the 100 block of Old Route 22. The victim was a 57-year-old Jonestown woman.
Union Township
Vehicle Accident, Following Too Closely – At 12:19 p.m. June 23, a two-vehicle crash occurred as a 2000 Honda Civic driven by a 34-year-old Richland woman and a 2017 Ford F-150XLT driven by a 69-year-old Jonestown man were traveling east on Jonestown Road. The Ford began to slow down for the vehicle in front of it to make a left turn and was struck by the Honda. The Honda sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. The Richland woman was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained a suspected minor injury, and was transported via First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon to Good Samaritan Hospital. The Ford sustained functional damage and was able to leave the scene under its own power. The Jonestown man was wearing a seatbelt and reported no injuries. Police charged the Richland woman with following too closely.
Vehicle Accident, Obedience to Traffic-Control Devices – At 5:22 p.m. June 20, a crash occurred as a 2017 Toyota Prius driven by a 55-year-old Baltimore woman was traveling north on Old Forge Road and a 2017 Ford Fusion driven by a 23-year-old Harrisburg man was traveling east on Fisher Avenue. The Toyota failed to stop at a red light and entered the intersection, where it was struck by the Ford. Both vehicles required towing. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and reported no injuries. Police charged The Baltimore woman with obedience to traffic-control devices.
