Annville Township
Terroristic Threats, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction of Justice – At 5:54 p.m. July 16, police responded to South 3rd Avenue for a dispute. John Coyne, 40, of Annville, was charged with terroristic threats, resisting arrest, and obstruction of justice and was found to have an active warrant for his arrest. The victim was a 38-year-old Annville man.
Bethel Township
Drug Possession – At approximately 6:14 p.m. July 14, police pulled over a 2022 Toyota Camry driven by William Torres, 39, of Bethlehem, on SR 22 and East Main Street for traffic violations. Police identified Torres and found that he was driving while under the influence of a controlled substance and was in possession of a controlled substance.
Death Natural – At approximately 3:34 p.m. July 9, police responded to Lebanon Valley Court for a report of a natural death involving a 76-year-old Lebanon man.
City of Lebanon
DUI, Driving While Suspended – On May 19, police charged Edward Marosky, 36, with DUI, DUI-highest rate .16% or higher, and driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked after police ran the registration to his vehicle and it indicated that the registered owner was suspended. Police pulled over the vehicle on the 100 block of South 12th Street and identified the driver as Marosky. Marosky was observed to be under the influence of alcohol to the extent that it rendered him incapable of safe driving.
Aggravated Assault, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Harassment – On June 27, police charged Michael Santana-Sanchez, 23, with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct-engage in fighting, and harassment after police were called to a disturbance on the 300 block of North 8th Street. While Santana-Sanchez was being detained, he allegedly placed his hands around the neck of an officer, choking him. The officer injured his knee during the confrontation. Police took Santana-Sanchez into custody and transported him to LCCB.
Drug Possession – On July 5, police charged Jahnn Velazquez, 18, with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after he was involved in a verbal altercation with another individual on the 400 block of North 8th Street.
Retail Theft – On June 12, police charged Arlene Serrano, 40, with retail theft after she allegedly stole items worth $993.10 from Weis Grocery Store, at 800 S. 12th St., on June 12 and 14.
Curfew Violation – At 2:26 a.m. June 17, police charged a 17-year-old male with a curfew violation on the 200 block of South Quince Street.
Curfew Violation – At 3:06 a.m. June 17, police charged a 13-year-old male with a curfew violation in the area of 5th Street and Pershing Avenue.
Curbing of Dogs – At 3 p.m. June 17, police charged a 52-year-old woman with curbing of dogs on the 300 block of North 14th Street.
Public Drunkenness – At 3 p.m. June 18, police charged a 54-year-old woman with public drunkenness on the 1100 block of Chestnut Street.
Simple Trespass – At 4:50 p.m. June 22, police charged a 30-year-old man with simple trespass on the 00 block of Guilford Street.
Public Drunkenness – At 8:25 p.m. June 23, police charged a 36-year-old man public drunkenness on the 200 block of South 12th Street.
Public Drunkenness – At 6:14 p.m. June 23, police charged a 35-year-old man with public drunkenness in the area of 4th and Chestnut streets.
Curfew Violation, Disorderly Conduct to Police – At 11:36 p.m. June 24, police charged a 17-year-old male with a curfew violation and disorderly conduct to police on the 300 block of North 13th Street.
Disorderly Conduct – At 4:43 p.m. June 24, police charged a 52-year-old woman with disorderly conduct on the 400 block of North 11th Street.
Harassment – At 11:09 p.m. June 25, police charged a 25-year-old man with harassment on the 100 block of South 4th Street.
Public Indecency – At 1:40 a.m. June 30, police charged a 42-year-old man with public decency on the 500 block of Pershing Avenue.
Curfew Violation – At 12:30 a.m. June 30, police charged a 14-year-old male with a curfew violation on the 500 block of Pershing Avenue.
Drug Possession – At 8:04 p.m. June 30, police charged a 20-year-old man with possession of drug paraphernalia on the 800 block of Water Street.
DUI, Fraudulent Use/Removal of Registration Plate – On June 30, police charged Chloe Destefano, 26, with DUI and fraudulent use/removal of registration plate after an erratic driver complaint was reported to the police. Police made contact with Destefano at 12th and Cumberland streets and observed that she was impaired. Destefano admitted to smoking heroin earlier. She also illegally affixed a registration plate to her vehicle.
Accident Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle, Driving While Suspended – On June 9, police charged Brittany Gettle, 30, with accident involving damage to attended vehicle, driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked, and following too closely after she was involved in a crash on the 300 block of Lehman Street. Gettle’s vehicle struck the back of another vehicle, then fled the scene without providing any information to the other driver. The officer was able to locate Gettle, who admitted to leaving the scene of the crash because she does not have a driver’s license.
Arrest Warrant – On July 20, police issued an arrest warrant against Alfredo Ortiz, 27, with the original charge being possession of marijuana. The incident occurred on the 600 block of North 8th Street.
Arrest Warrant – On July 20, police issued an arrest warrant against Frances Cosme-Santiago, 32, with the original charge being one count of possession of marijuana. The incident occurred on the 300 block of Spruce Street.
Arrest Warrant – On July 20, police issued an arrest warrant against Invalis Maturell-Bubaire, 55, with the original charge being one count of retail theft. The incident occurred on the 800 block of South 12th Street.
East Hanover Township
Vehicle Accident, Turning Movements and Required Signals – At approximately 1:05 p.m. July 14, police responded to South Faith Road near Gravel Hill Road for a two-vehicle crash. A 2005 Lexus RX350 driven by a 62-year-old Palmyra woman turned left from Gravel Hill Road onto South Faith Road and struck a 2006 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 27-year-old Grantville woman.Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and reported no injuries. One vehicle was able to be driven from the scene, and one vehicle was towed by Motter’s Towing Company. Police charged the Palmyra woman with turning movements and required signals.
Vehicle Accident, Careless Driving – At approximately 9:16 p.m. June 30, police responded to the intersection of Allentown Boulevard and Lincoln School Road for a two-vehicle crash. A 2015 Mazda CX5 driven by a 44-year-old Lebanon man proceeded through a steady red signal and struck a 2017 Ford Focus driven by a 32-year-old Loysville man in the intersection. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage. The Lebanon man was not wearing a seatbelt and reported no injuries. The Loysville man was wearing a seatbelt, sustained a suspected minor injury, and was transported via Life Lion EMS. Police charged the Lebanon man with careless driving.
Harassment – At 6:42 p.m. July 16, police responded to the 10100 block of Jonestown Road for a report of a domestic altercation. A 32-year-old Grantville man allegedly shoved a door into the face of a 33-year-old Grantville woman, causing swelling and bruising. The arrestee was advised to leave for the night and was charged with harassment.
Indecent Assault – PSP Jonestown received a ChildLine report of suspected abuse and neglect on Schoolhouse Road in 2018. The victim was a 3-year-old Annville male.
Vehicle Accident, Stop Signs and Yield Signs – At 4:42 p.m. July 20, a crash occurred on Allentown Boulevard at Gravel Hill Road involving a 2014 Honda Accord driven by an 80-year-old Grantville woman and a 2015 Kia driven by a 19-year-old Tower City woman. The Grantville woman was wearing a seatbelt, sustained a suspected minor injury, and was transported via Life Lion EMS. The Tower City woman was wearing a seatbelt, sustained a suspected minor injury, and was transported via South Central. Police charged the Grantville woman with stop signs and yield signs.
Vehicle Accident, Vehicle Entering or Crossing Roadway – At 10:03 a.m. July 15, a crash occurred on Jonestown Road, half a mile east of Ono Road. A 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe was attempting to enter the road and a 2018 Honda N360 was traveling south with the right-of-way. The driver of the Hyundai failed to yield the right-of-way and entered the road without clearance, striking the Honda. Both vehicles sustained cosmetic damage. No injuries were reported.
Heidelberg Township
Vehicle Accident, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic – At 12:15 p.m. July 18, a crash occurred on Sinclair Road at SR 501 North. A 2011 Ford Edge driven by a 23-year Galloway, New Jersey, woman accompanied by a 24-year-old Millersville man was traveling north on SR 501 North and failed to negotiate the right turn onto Sinclair Road due to traveling at an unsafe speed. The Ford left the road and hit a stop sign and road sign and sustained disabling damage. The Galloway woman and the Millersville man were wearing seatbelts and reported no injuries. Police charged the Galloway woman with driving on roadways laned for traffic.
Public Drunkenness – At 7:21 p.m. July 20, police responded to the 200 block of Albright Road for a male lying on the ground in the cemetery. Police observed that a 49-year-old Lititz man had the apparent odor of alcohol, had glassy and bloodshot eyes, had receipts from a local bar in his pocket, and was unable to stand or walk without assistance. He was transported to the hospital by Newmanstown EMS for an evaluation and was charged with public drunkenness.
Jackson Township
Found Property – At 11:54 a.m. July 22, a black Samsung cellphone was found on the 800 block of South Ramona Road. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194.
Theft By Deception – At 3:59 p.m. July 13, a 27-year-old Myerstown man was scammed out of $1,204.90 by an unknown actor claiming to be with PSECU.
Theft – At approximately 12 p.m. July 15, multiple landscaping tools were taken from a job site on the 500 block of Hilltop Road. The stolen property included Echo extension sheers valued at $600, an Echo backpack blower valued at $700, a Stihl string trimmer valued at $300, and two Ace leaf rakes valued at $25. The victim was a 68-year-old Myerstown man. Police are investigating and pending suspect ID and video surveillance footage.
Theft – Police are investigating an incident on July 15 on the 00 block of Greenbriar Drive. According to reports, a former employee of AWP Services used the business name without permission to con at least two people out of more than $1,000 for jobs that were not completed. The victims were a 26-year-old Richland man, a 69-year-old Myerstown woman, and a 60-year-old Myerstown woman.
Jonestown Borough
Warrant – At 5:12 p.m. July 18, police arrested Randy Turk, 51, of Jonestown, on the 200 block of West Market Street for an out-of-state warrant.
Theft Items from Motor Vehicle – A 67-year-old Jonestown man reported that a dozen or so CDs worth $60 were taken from his vehicle sometime over the last year.
Indecent Assault – Police received a ChildLine report of a 13-year-old Lebanon female juvenile being groped on the breasts and vagina by a family member on East Queen Street earlier this year. The investigation is ongoing.
Millcreek Township
Theft – Police are investigating an allegation that a woman in the 00 block of West Main Street received a tax refund check for $245 from the state Treasury Department in her mailbox. Although the check was made out to a 31-year-old Newmanstown man, the suspect allegedly cashed the check on May 9 after signing the victim’s name on the check.
Vehicle Accident, Stop Signs and Yield Signs – At 5:04 p.m. July 18, a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox driven by a 22-year-old Reinholds woman was stopped on Millbach Road at a properly posted stop sign and a 2012 Toyota Highlander driven by a 40-year-old Newmanstown woman was traveling east on SR 419 and had the right-of-way on the road. The Toyota was approaching Millbach Road when the Chevrolet proceeded onto SR 419 and was struck by the Toyota. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage. No injuries were reported. Myerstown EMS, Neptune and Newmanstown fire companies, and Zimmy’s Towing assisted on the scene. Police charged the Reinholds woman with stop signs and yield signs.
Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – At approximately 7:28 p.m. June 26, police responded to the 00 block of Treeline Drive and determined that a 72-year-old Stevens man went to his granddaughter’s residence to pick up his dog and, after pulling into the driveway, purposely hit his car door into his granddaughter’s ex-fiance’s car twice, causing visible damage. Police learned that the Stevens man and the 29-year-old State College man do not get along, and the Stevens man reportedly smirked and left the residence after causing the damage.
Myerstown Borough
Assault Serious Bodily Injury – At 2:04 a.m. July 13, police responded to Good Samaritan Hospital to speak with an 80-year-old Myerstown man who had been assaulted on the 100 block of West Maple Avenue. The victim reported that he had been physically assaulted by his son over a missing cellphone, sustaining serious injuries that required hospitalization. The suspect was identified as Marc Walter, 44, of Myerstown, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Firearm Sale or Transfer – At 5:16 p.m. Feb. 1, 2022, a person attempted to purchase a Ruger .380 handgun at Lauck’s Sporting Goods on the 00 block of West Main Avenue. A PICS check was conducted, resulting in a denial, and the incident was referred to PSP Jonestown for investigation.
Theft Disposition of Funds – At 8:06 p.m. July 9, police responded to the 00 block of West Park Avenue for a report of fraud. The victim paid $619.95 via Cash App and Venmo to an unknown person for assistance with her Amazon Prime account.
North Cornwall Township
Drug Possession – At 4:57 p.m. June 28, police charged a 24-year-old Lebanon man with possession of drug paraphernalia on Chestnut Street.
DUI, Careless Driving, Driving without a License – At 11:38 p.m. July 4, police charged John Harvey, 38, of Lebanon, with DUI, careless driving, and driving without a license on Penn Street.
Disorderly Conduct – At 8 p.m. July 7, police charged a 44-year-old Lebanon man after a disturbance at Burger King.
Warrant – At 11:45 p.m. July 14, police were on a routine traffic stop on Willow Street when Jeavel Lopez-Mercado, 29, of Lebanon, was identified to have an active warrant out of the Lebanon County Sheriff’s Office. Lopez-Mercado was taken into custody and transported to LCCB.
Warrant – At 9:55 p.m. July 17, police were on patrol when they observed two suspicious males on Cumberland Street. Upon identification of the males, police found that Tony Oaks, 43, had an active warrant out of Allegheny County, took him into custody and transported him to LCCB.
North Lebanon Township
Drug Possession – At 10:53 p.m. June 29, police attempted to pull over a 2013 Nissan Rogue Sport driven by Daryl Mical, 36, of Myerstown, on Mount Zion and Weavertown roads. The Nissan fled, and a pursuit ensued. Mical was later taken into custody and transported to LCCB.
DUI – At 5:05 p.m. July 16, police arrested Lyle Heblow, 36, of Lebanon, on Poplar and North 7th streets for DUI.
DUI – At 12:30 a.m. July 16, police arrested Kristi Heblow, 36, of Lebanon, on 7th and Pine streets for DUI.
North Londonderry Township
Confinement and Housing of Dogs – At 8:45 p.m. July 9, police charged a 70-year-old Palmyra woman after one of her dogs ran from her property on the 00 block of Cottonwood Court and wandered into streets and other properties.
Palmyra Borough
Drug Possession – At approximately 2 a.m. June 27, while on foot patrol, a Palmyra police officer located four individuals under the Grant Street Bridge on the 300 block of North Grant Street. One of the individuals, Casey Funck, 22, was found to be in possession of marijuana and related drug paraphernalia. On July 3, a criminal complaint was filed with MDJ Garver’s office, charging Funck with one count each of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police, DUI, Drug Possession, Driving While Suspended – At 1:37 a.m. April 29, police attempted to pull over a vehicle on the 00 block of North Lingle Avenue for a stop sign violation. The driver attempted to flee but was apprehended after a short pursuit. Police determined that the driver, Eric Bates, 42, had a suspended driver’s license, was in possession of drug paraphernalia and was under the influence of marijuana. On July 5, charges were filed against Bates for fleeing or attempting to elude police, two counts of DUI-drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended, and three more summary traffic violations.
Probation Violation Warrant – On July 16, police made contact with Jacob Shope, 71, after finding his bicycle in an empty parking lot. Police learned that Shope had an active bench warrant from 2020 for a probation violation. The original charges were bribery-pecuniary benefit, possession/sale/use of display documents, driving while suspended, operated vehicle without financial responsibility, operated vehicle without valid inspection, and driving unregistered vehicle. Police took Shope into custody and transported him to LCCB.
South Lebanon Township
Sale or Transfer of Firearms, Unsworn Falsification to Authorities – On March 22, Cody Kissinger, 23, attempted to purchase a firearm at Shydas Outdoor Center, at 1635 S. Lincoln Ave., despite knowing he was prohibited from possessing a gun. Police charged Kissinger with sale or transfer of firearms and unsworn falsification to authorities.
South Londonderry Township
Vehicle Accident – At 2:20 p.m. July 10, a Ford F150 driven by a 45-year-old Jonestown man struck a Chevy Malibu driven by a 26-year-old Palmyra woman on the 100 block of Schoolhouse Road. The Jonestown man’s vehicle backed up in its lane, striking the front end of the Palmyra woman’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
Swatara Township
Vehicle Accident, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic – At approximately 7:19 a.m. July 15, police responded to SR 22 near Old Route 22 for a single-vehicle crash. A 2014 Chrysler 300 driven by a 30-year-old Selden, New York man swerved to avoid a deer in the road and drove approximately 150 feet into a ditch. When the driver attempted to maneuver out of the ditch, the Chrysler flipped onto its roof. The driver was wearing a seatbelt, sustained a suspected minor injury, and was transported via Life Lion EMS to Hershey Medical Center for further evaluation. Dale Richards Towing Co. assisted on the scene. Police charged the driver with driving on roadways laned for traffic.
Assault Minor under 6 Bodily Injury – At 9 a.m. June 16, police received a ChildLine report of suspected abuse and neglect. The report indicated that a 3-year-old Jonestown female was injured at daycare. The investigation is ongoing.
Assault with Weapon – At 4:57 p.m. July 15, police responded to Middle Avenue for an active domestic incident. Police entered the home and called for Rodney Sholly, 65, of King George, Virginia, from the bottom of the stairs. Shortly afterwards, a 43-year-old Jonestown woman exited the residence and told police that Sholly was armed with an AR-style rifle. Sholly eventually surrendered and was taken into custody. Sholly was remanded to LCCF following arraignment.
Vehicle Accident, Driving While Suspended – At 10:25 a.m. July 11, a 2002 Ford Escape driven by a 31-year-old Lebanon man was traveling from Arnold Lane onto Kenbrook Road when it veered into the south roadside of Kenbrook Road and struck a cable fence. The Ford then fled toward Lebanon. The vehicle was located and towed. Police charged the Lebanon man with driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked.
Theft By Deception – Sometime between 8 a.m. July 9 and 6:08 p.m. July 18, a 58-year-old Lebanon woman on the 00 block of Monroe Avenue was the victim of a Facebook scam. Police learned that the victim had sent $800 through Facebook to an unknown party to purchase a washer and dryer set. It was later learned that the Facebook account used to sell the items was hacked, and the true owner lost access to the account about a month ago. Police are investigating.
Criminal Mischief $1,000+ – At 6:25 a.m. July 15, police responded to the 100 block of Old Route 22, where an unknown person smashed the front windshield of a 2002 Winnebago Industries Inc. trailer owned by a 50-year-old Lebanon man.
Harassment – At 12:20 a.m. July 16, a 41-year-old Lebanon woman and a 40-year-old Lebanon man were involved in an incident on the 00 block of Monroe Avenue.
Union Township
Burglary Residential Force – At 9:19 p.m. July 11, police responded to Moonshine Road, where a 57-year-old Jonestown woman damaged three windows on the property of a 57-year-old Jonestown man. The woman gained entry to the property through a broken window. She was located at the scene, taken into custody, and charged.
