Bethlehem-based Keystone Releaf LLC seeks to turn the former Union Beer House at 1600 W. Cumberland St. in Lebanon into a medical marijuana dispensary. (Union Beer House opened up in a new location just down the road.)
On Aug. 9, Keystone Releaf attorney Seth R. Tipton filed a petition to appear before the North Cornwall Township Zoning Hearing Board regarding a special exception to use the property as a dispensary.
According to the letter, Keystone Releaf would “make interior, cosmetic improvements to an existing suite within the existing building for commercial use as licensed Pennsylvania medical marijuana dispensary in accordance with and pursuant to all applicable local and state law.”
The suite had previously been listed for lease at $4,500 per month. Also listed right now are two other businesses located in the same complex, the beer distributor and the laundromat, which can be purchased together (sans building) for $850,000, according to the listing.
A date for the zoning hearing is expected to be set by North Cornwall Township this week.
According to Pennsylvania Department of Health press secretary Mark O’Neill, Keystone Releaf has already been awarded a permit for a Lebanon County dispensary.
As of publication time, Tipton had not responded to LebTown enquiries.
