Join Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania (GSHPA) at a tea party at Sycamore Spring Orchard, 1901 Thompson Ave., Jonestown, on Sunday, Oct. 29, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Held to mark the birthday of Juliette Gordon Low, the party will also be an opportunity for Lifetime Members and other Girl Scout alums to come together and reminisce, socialize, and learn more about today’s Girl Scouts.
Lifetime member Anne Marie Shuey, a Lebanon resident and 40-year Girl Scout volunteer, came up with the idea for the tea party as a way to celebrate both the birthday of the founder of Girl Scouts, which is Oct. 31, and her own 70th birthday in October.
“The tea party will be a wonderful way for Lifetime Members and other Girl Scout alumnae to connect with each other,” said Sherri Kline, Volunteer and Alumnae Engagement Manager for GSHPA. “Participants will enjoy tea and snacks, while hearing about how Girl Scouts continues to build girls of confidence, courage and character.”
Celebrate with Girl Scouts at the tea party and learn how you can support an organization that helps girls grow strong, meet new friends and rise up to meet new challenges.
