Lebanon County motorists should be aware of daytime lane restrictions this week on northbound and southbound Interstate 81 at the Biddle Road (Route 4024) bridge spanning the interstate in Union Township.
The restrictions will allow PennDOT to perform inspections on the bridge on Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 8-9, weather permitting.
According to a press release from PennDOT spokesman Dave Thompson, there will be alternating right/left lane closures on northbound I-81 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, and on southbound I-81 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday.
Travelers are reminded to be alert, obey work zone signs, and use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the workers.
