North Lebanon Township police are investigating two deaths that took place on Tuesday, Nov. 7 – one of which occurred in a home on the 2000 block of Church Street in West Lebanon Township and another that occurred in a crash in New Jersey.

It was not immediately clear exactly how the two deaths are related, or if the Church Street fatality is being investigated as a homicide.

According to a brief statement issued Wednesday by township police Chief Timothy L. Knight, officers were first dispatched to the Church Street residence Tuesday to notify residents of the death of 52-year-old Alejandro Reyes-Moya, who was killed in a car crash earlier that day somewhere in New Jersey. Details on the crash were vague, but Knight noted in his release that “officers were unable to contact anyone at the residence.”

Later, Knight said, officers “were asked to check on the wellbeing” of Teresa Sanchez De-Sena, 42, who lived at the Church Street address. Officers entered the home and found Sanchez De-Sena deceased, according to the report.

“The nature of her death is currently being investigated by North Lebanon Township Police and the Lebanon County Detective Bureau,” the release states. “North Lebanon Police are also working with the New Jersey State Police.”

Although Knight did not provide any information on Reyes-Moya’s death, Lehigh Valley Live reported Tuesday that he was killed in a crash early Tuesday morning on Interstate 78.

New Jersey state troopers were called to the crash scene at 4:13 a.m. in Greenwich Township, Warren County, the news report said. According to the report, Reyes-Moya’s Honda CR-V struck the rear of a Freightliner truck with a utility trailer parked on the right shoulder of the highway, and the driver “sustained fatal injuries.”

The crash remains under investigation.

North Lebanon Township police ask anyone with information on the incident to call the department at 717-273-8141 or the county detectives bureau at 717-228-4403.

It was not immediately clear if Reyes-Moya was suspected of foul play in the death of Sanchez De-Sena. Knight told LebTown he “will provide additional information early next week.”
