If you are looking for a way to manage your weight and still eat healthy and delicious foods, then the Volumetrics Weigh of Life: Weight Management Plan class series may be for you.
The six-week class series by Penn State Extension will teach participants about a science-based approach to weight loss and management. The science is grounded in research by Dr. Barbara Rolls, professor and Guthrie chair in nutrition at Penn State.
The class series will be held at the Penn State Extension Lebanon County office, at 2120 Cornwall Road, Suite 1, Lebanon, starting on April 4. It will run every Thursday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. until May 9.
According to a release from Penn State Extension, the six-week class series will provide information about the fundamental principles of weight management, with a special emphasis on sustainable eating patterns that will help manage weight throughout life.
Topics will include food types and calorie density, making healthy choices, modifying recipes, satisfying your appetite, and thinking positively about dietary options. The classes will also involve food demonstrations and group discussions.
Those wishing to participate in the Volumetrics Weigh of Life: Weight Management Plan can register online or by calling 877-345-0691 by April 3. The registration fee is $40. Pre-registration is required.
