Officer commendation – Officer Nathan Haldeman of the Lebanon City Police Department was recognized for his outstanding police work during an armed robbery that occurred near North 7th and Lehman streets. While on patrol, witnesses reported the armed robbery and that the suspect, who possessed a firearm, fled the business. They also provided Haldeman with a description of the suspect and his direction of travel. He located the suspect, who fled on foot, and pursued him. Haldeman caught up with the suspect, who then resisted arrest. During the arrest, a firearm fell out of the suspect’s waistband, and a struggle over the firearm ensued. Haldeman gained control of the firearm, secured it, and successfully placed the suspect under arrest. Haldeman was commended for his bravery, service, and commitment to keeping Lebanon safe.
