Penn State Extension will offer a hands-on cooking class later this month on how to to make traditional entrées a vegetarian way.

The class, titled “Let’s Cook Vegetarian,” is part of the Penn State Extension’s “Let’s Cook with Penn State Extension” cooking class series. This series of classes focuses on different ways to eat a balanced plant-based diet and provides tips on how to make traditional entrées the vegetarian way.

Attendees will learn about the nutritional benefits of vegetarian diets, including the prevention of obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes.

“Let’s Cook Vegetarian” is open to cooks of all skill levels. The class will run from 3 to 5 p.m. on March 23 at the Penn State Extension Lebanon County office at 2120 Cornwall Road, Suite 1, Lebanon.

Registration for the class is due by March 21 is open online or by calling 877-345-0691. Cost is $30.

There are multiple “Let’s Cook” classes offered by the Penn State Extension, covering a range of topics such as special diets, weight management, and cooking for one or two.
