39-year-old Alfredo Pizarro-Franco was killed Sunday night, July 14, in a motorcycle crash in Lebanon city.
Lebanon police announced Monday that the fatal accident occurred at the intersection of Mifflin and Hanover streets around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
Pizarro-Franco was critically injured in the crash, and aid was rendered on-site by police and emergency medical services, police said.
He was subsequently transported to Penn State Hershey Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to the police release.
An investigation of the accident by Lebanon police included witness interviews and video review. Police concluded that Pizarro-Franco had been traveling the wrong way on Hanover Street and failed to stop at the intersection with Mifflin Street prior to striking the driver’s side door of an SUV.
The driver of the SUV was determined to have no contributing factor to the incident and was not injured, police said.
