A 68-year-old Lewisberry man and an 80-year-old York man were injured Friday, July 19, around 2:45 p.m. in a failed takeoff attempt at Reigle Airport in Palmyra.
South Londonderry Township Police said that the plane, a Kitfox Model IV with tail number N788KF, was beginning to takeoff when it suddenly veered to the left, according to the pilot.
The pilot suffered minor injuries while the passenger had moderate injuries and was taken to Penn State Hershey Medical Center for evaluation.
FAA and NTSB will investigate.
The plane is registered to Delaware-based IAV8 Inc.
