An Administrative Record has been initiated to support the remedial investigation activities. The Administrative Record is a file maintained by the Army National Guard (ARNG) which will include selected technical reports, fact sheets, general information, and other relevant documents used to make decisions throughout the response action.

To ensure information about the PFAS work at FTIG is available to interested citizens, the ARNG will maintain these records at the following location: Annville Free Library, 216 East Main Street, Annville, PA 17003, (717) 867-1802 (access is by request to on-duty librarian).

The ARNG is also soliciting public interest in establishing a Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) for PFAS remedial investigation activities at FTIG.

What is a RAB? A RAB is a community group which meets to discuss and receive information on environmental restoration (cleanup of contamination) projects at a military facility.

What does a RAB do? A RAB enables local community members interested in environmental cleanup to receive and exchange information with the regulatory agency and the National Guard personnel managing environmental cleanup activities at FTIG. At meetings, RAB members and the public can receive updates and ask questions on the status of the environmental cleanup program at FTIG. Though RABs are not a decision-making group, RABs do give local community members the opportunity to have their voices heard and to provide valuable community insight to the facility and regulatory agencies.

Are you interested in participating in a RAB for Fort Indiantown Gap? If you are interested in learning more about FTIG environmental restoration projects and having the opportunity to give your input to ARNG and regulatory agencies on their management of cleanup projects at FTIG, either as a RAB member or by attending RAB meetings, please contact Wayne V. Hall (contact information below) by October 15, 2024.
