Myerstown Vitality Partnership adds a Business Development Consultant to the management team.

MVP Board Chair Steve Goodhue is pleased to announce that Business Development Consultant Seth Miller has joined the MVP management team.

“Seth is 23 years old and brings youth and enthusiasm to our team, along with some excellent related experience,” said Goodhue. “We look forward to a brighter future with Seth on board.”

Seth was born and raised in Myerstown. He knows the marketplace, which is a plus for his new position. He grew up on the family farm on Ramona Road, Myerstown, which Seth’s parents, David and Erica Miller, have owned and operated for many years. Seth graduated from ELCO High School.

Seth’s background, growing up in an environment where farm animals were a way of life, motivated him to choose the University of Wyoming for his college education. UW has an excellent reputation for agriculture education.

Like many of us, when we are young, life can bring changes in direction. A part-time job with the Laramie, Wyoming Main Street Alliance, which creates programs for community development, struck just the right chord with Seth. He loved the job.

Their website states that the Wyoming Main Street Alliance “was formed in 2005 as a 501c3, to work with local government, property owners, residents, and the workforce, who believe the heart of our great community lies in a vibrant downtown.”

Fast-forward. Seth completed his education and returned to Myerstown as planned. As if it were predestined, he had an opportunity to apply for a position with the Myerstown Vitality Partnership.

“It was a case of the right opportunity at the right time,” said Steve Goodhue. “After we talked, it was obvious that Seth was the right person to fill our opening.”

When asked for his self-perception of his new job, Seth replied, ”I am anxious to manage and direct approved programs and activity for the MVP; I will take direction from the Board to ensure that directives, policies, and resolutions are implemented; I will engage and help promote MVP’s many community events and activities; as well as reach out to community organizations and businesses to enhance relationships; I will search resources for grant funding and strive for success so that MVP can achieve an official relationship with Main Street America; I will be a contact for the ongoing Hometown Heroes program, and be a local resource for the local business community for economic development and other areas.”
