Lebanon Community Library will host the Ready, Set, Explore Celebrating Languages event on Thursday, Oct. 10, to celebrate language, literacy, and learning.
The event is free and open for all families, with learning stations designed for kids ages 3 to 14. The event will feature “hands-on activities, engaging stories and endless fun,” according to WITF director of education Jennifer Eley.
Families will have the opportunity to meet and take a photo with PBS KIDS’ Rosie from “Rosie’s Rules.” They can also enjoy interactive story times in English and Spanish with WITF’s Tia Flora and explore coding and robotics with STEAM learning tools such as Ozobots and Azul Bots.
In addition, families will be able to complete a scavenger quest, play dominoes, and practice vocabulary with a game of memory or sight word bowling. Each child in attendance will receive a free book that they can keep.
Registration for the event is free and optional. Free tickets are available online. The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the library, at 125 N. 7th St.
The Ready, Set, Explore Celebrating Languages event is supported by Highmark and Highmark Wholecare.
