Pam Tricamo was named the Lebanon County Democratic Committee’s “Democrat of the Year” during the committee’s annual fall dinner at The Timbers in Mount Gretna on Oct. 4.

Chairman Matt Duvall said Tricamo was chosen for her hard work as corresponding secretary, office manager, district leader, and member of the fundraising committee.

Tricamo has been responsible for keeping the office in Lebanon city open several evenings and Saturday mornings throughout the year.

Her fundraising committee has been particularly active this year, hosting several successful trivia nights, a sold out bus trip to a Phillies game and an appraisal event.

Tricamo has been active with the Democratic party for many years.

She said she was happy that she did not recognize many of the people who attended the fall dinner, because that means more people are getting involved. That is particularly important this election year, she said.

“I don’t think it’s right that the Republicans run everything in the county, even in the city where Democrats outnumber Republicans,” she said. “You can’t get a balance of ideas unless both parties have a say.”

A person can only receive the honor once, Duvall said. Former Democrats of the Year help select the honoree.

“The committee is proud to recognize Pam’s dedication to LCDC and thanks her for her service,” he said.
